I really like the art, its very adorable and its very funny the contrast between the cute visuals and the electric guitar lol, just maybe it wouldve been better to be able to shoot by just holding left click, it was a bit hard to get through by clicking. Other than that, its a really cool game!! I really enjoyed it!!

Developer

Thank you much for checking it out! Yeah really wish I would have though of tue auto fire earlier

I love how much juice this has: the hurt I frames, the shadows under the projectiles and how everything shakes on enemy death. Meybe have different AI for each one of the color enemies?  Or meybe I didn't make it that far xD  42 kills was my limit.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, if this were a longer jam would have had more variation, like different-sized enemies and stuff. Appreciate you checking it out! :)

Love the presentation. Holding the LMB button to shoot would have been better I think. And I liked the zoom out when progressing

Developer

Agreed on the LMB hold; that would have been so easy to do. I just, for some reason, thought of it too late :(. Thanks for playing and the kind words!

Fun little game. Enjoyed the art, music and SFX a lot. It took some getting used to the controls, I think it would’ve been nicer if you could hold the LMB to shoot as opposed to clicking it every time. Great work nonetheless, keep it up!

Developer

Holding LMB would have been way better for sure, wish I had done that instead. Thanks for checking it out, though still, and I'm happy you enjoyed it :)!

Game fun as hell! Like really it's fun to play this game. Some roguelike elements to this game would be nice

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! Agreed, some rougelite stuff would keep things interesting. At first, I was going to have skill choosing between each round, like +1 cluster bomb, or +1 projectile...stuff like that. But thought I wouldn't finish in time.

Submitted(+1)

Damn I thought about that while i was playing

Submitted(+1)

Really fun, I like the screen zooming out as you get more and more power!! my finger got sore after a while though LMAO

Developer

I agree, mines did too lol. In hindsight it would have been really easy to make it auto fire instead. But, im really happy you had fun with it still 🙂!

Very satisfying to get multikills! It fits the feeling of being ridiculously overpowered, without being too easy of a game. Player feedback is great, both positive and negative feedback loops, and gets somewhat challenging later on. I do think the player moves a little fast, but other than that, great game!

Hahaha.  I love the dissonance of having a cute little heroine, metal music, adorable sound effects, explosions..etc.  Super fun concept.  Man that girl runs fast.

Developer

Yeah, a little too fast 😅. Thanks for giving it a try 😀

This is the most hard metal game i've ever played, and i love it. 1000/10 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Developer

Awesome, glad you liked it. Rock on! \m/

Golly! You perfectly captured the limitation while keeping the game quite hard! My best run was lvl 5, 1,33 min left and I didn't quite see the score because of explosion lol. Even with chain reactions its very hard to keep up with the swarm. It's charming to see it's a family project btw :) Great job!

Developer(+1)

We had a lot of fun making it. I also noticed the explosion covering the UI bug too late :(. I'd love to patch it, but it'll take me a bit of time to figure out why, and quite frankly, I spent 3 too many sleepless nights on the game already hahah. Thanks for playing, and we're glad you enjoyed it!

Hmm, to prevent covering UI in godot I would just set label ordering to 1 (higher than sprite animation/sprite). Maybe in Unity its similar?

Developer

Yeah, it has that. It also has Sorting Layers, in which you can assign a renderer to a specific layer to control draw order. On top of that, Order in Layer lets you further refine rendering within the same sorting layer.
I already put particle effects in a sorting layer behind the UI element, so I suspect something else is misconfigured; possibly a parent object or another renderer higher up in the hierarchy.

I like the unique focus on chain reactions, encouraging you to play a bit more strategically rather than shooting wildly in every direction, it was super satisfying whenever I set off a huge one that would clear half the screen. Very fun little game, with a very cute artstyle too!

Developer

Thanks so much for checking it out. We're so happy you liked the art and gameplay too! Yeah, it's not much, but a tad bit of strategy goes a long way.

I really liked the art style and the explosion effects! the game could've started a little slower in the beginning and then got faster as it progressed. the explosions really added to the ridiculously overpowered vibe

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

It’s sweet that you and your wife made this! The SFX and explosion really do sell the overpowered vibe! Like the others said, I love how contrasting the cuteness is with the intensity & the music. I like that the player feels overpowered but the gameplay was still pretty challenging in a good way.

I was pretty bad at this game. Its probably by design, but I think that it was difficult for me mostly because of how fast the player was, I had a hard time controlling her and kept running into the enemies.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I wish I had like an extra day to tweak the movement a bit. It was on the agenda, but in the end, I had to accept that it was just good enough. Thanks for the kind words, and we're thrilled you enjoyed it.

THANK YOU FOR THE ULTRAWIDE SUPPORT!

Developer

Indeed :), and thank you for playing!

Pretty good game but the art and UI were kinda lacking. Otherwise alraight.

Developer

Thanks for playing

10/10 for the cuteness. No seriously this is jaw-dropping for a 3 day game jam:)

Developer

Thanks for playing. We're so happy you like it!

Submitted

Umm.. Could I ask you to rate the game of mine?

Developer

Yeah, I got you. Sorry, I was planning on it, but I have been at work. Since your game didn't have a browser-based build, I had to wait till the end of the day to get to my personal computer to download it.

Lovely artstyle and I love the chain explosions! Very fun little game, cheers.

Developer

Appreciate you checking out :)

WE EXPLODING IN CUTENESS WITH THIS ONE 🗣️

Had ton of fun completing this game and making enormous amount of slimes explode at the same time really was a dopamine rush (and a bit of a earrape too)! I really had fun and only wished it was a little longer!

Developer

Haha thanks for the kind comment. glad you like the sound, I spent quite of bit of time finding the right audio for it

Really love the aesthetic and had a lot of fun playing!

One thing I would change is to add acceleration to the movement, doesn't have to be slow to accelerate either, in fact this game would work well with a fast acceleration. It would feel really nice in my opinion. Going from 0 to max speed in one frame makes it feel jittery and prevents micro adjustments. I used it in my game if you want a point of reference to compare how it feels. (Maybe hard to see somewhat due to moving camera tho)

I really enjoyed playing yours tho, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah, i really didnt feel good about the fast movement either. I meant go back to add acceleration but then ended up ditching it due to time. Thank you for playing!
