Super cute!  I really enjoyed the puzzles I solved although I didn't get too far because I was tired.  The only thing I felt was missing was a bit more objects in the background to give a better sense of place over the simple static background.

How many puzzles did you get through?

Stopped playing at level 6, I got stuck there.

Were there any cats that weren't clear?

I did't get why yellow cat was being scared in level 6 after placing it last. I think there was some rule I didn't understand.

If you used a controller (especially a playstation one) were there any issues you encountered?

I used keyboard.

What did you like most?

Cat designs are cute.

What did you like the least?

I think cat designs should reflect their mechanics better (not an artist but I think they could have slightly different emoji-like faces to express their behavior).

Imo R should be used as a restart level button and Z as your undo action button. Besides the floating things UI felt off, I would like it more if things weren't floating in a mobiley way.

Hi Coas City Games, thank you for your feedback!

Oh for level 6 I wonder if it is a bug or you were putting the cat in a box where it was going to get bapped (smacking sound with some Bap text particles popping up)?

I'm not an artist either unfortunately, but I do agree that I could do a little more with their expressions to bring out their personality a little more!

There was some text popping out but I don't remember which one.

  • How many puzzles did you get through?
Did not count, finished on this level:

  • Were there any cats that weren't clear?

I kept confusing black cat that slapped new cats placed diagonally and orange one that yelled at already placed cats orthogonally but I think I got the hang of it eventually.

“Blobby” cat was the hardest to figure out - first time I got it to “replicate” I did not understand why. I thought its ability triggers when adjacent cat is discarded. Maybe introduce it together with a vanilla cat to keep things simpler? Only after enabling tooltips on the next level I fully understood how it works.

Also some levels require player to clear pre-placed cat - it made me question if the goal is to fill all the boxes or place all the cats in the supply or both.

Some time in the game I realised level names are themselves clues - maybe they should stay visible on the screen or the player should be able to peek at them.

  • What did you like most?

Figuring out how new cats work. Sound design and overall aesthetic

  • What did you like the least?

Orange yelling cat’s voice acting was a bit annoying, but I suppose that’s his deal.

Hi Cometopuli! Thank you for taking some time to check the game out!

Blobby has been tripping up a couple of people, while he is really useful for making interesting puzzles he might be introduced a little early. But also I do agree with you about maybe introducing him with a couple of much easier puzzles with more basic cats.

Regarding your question about "if the goal is to fill all the boxes or place all the cats in the supply or both." It's both, all your cats need to be used and all of the boxes need to be full. Might need a couple more puzzles early on to reinforce this, thank you for the critique.

The level names staying up on the screen somewhere is such a nice QoL addition thank you!

Orange's yelling is a bit much I agree, especially when there are a few in a row. Need to follow my lead voice actor around the house with a microphone more I think.

Quick q for you because I might have spotted a bug in your screen shot, were you using a controller?

Oh, it's your own cat doing VA, that's so cool! He's doing great, definitely earned a snack for his part ;)

Tbh I'm not sure about the controller. I played the game with a mouse but then I hooked up controller for another game - not sure If had taken the screenshot before or after. If you need more of a QA focused playtest with a controller I could try to do it sometime. I have both XBox one and PS DualShock.

Hi!  As a person living with 2 cats hating each other I'm really into this game. I think the game looks pretty cool and loved the little details and polish you put in. Cozy game with puzzles and If i were to see that in a Wholesome Event I'd definitely check it out. Firstly I'll start with some things I don't really understand:

I'm having a hard time understanding which box I'm putting the cat, an outline would probably help me more but arrow is definitely making it harder for me because it's pointing at the middle of two/three things I don't know if that's a bug or snapping issues.

And the other effects indicates the related positions I understand but it makes it harder for me to know which box im actually choosing. I'd love to hold the cats and drop them to boxes directly even they don't animate at all because I really liked that mechanic in "is this seat taken" and it'd be fun with cats.

Cheers, Sinan. (discord: ksnnacar )

  • How many puzzles did you get through?

I just couldn't finish the last level (later i learned its first worlds), Bap removal After 4-5 tries I gave up. But now that I write the name of the level. I think i know the solution.

  • Were there any cats that weren't clear?

It's not about the clarity of cat for me but diagonal and adjecent terms are just weird for me to think about in isometric view. Probably it's just my brain.

  • If you used a controller (especially a playstation one) were there any issues you encountered?

Used a mouse, but I can later use a PS one and let you know if you need.

  • What did you like most?

Theme, art direction and sfx.

  • What did you like the least?

The Arrow!

Hi Sinan, thank you for playing and I am glad you had fun!

Totally fair about the arrow, it is bugged because of some collider weirdness. But I am in the process of getting rid of it entirely with exactly what you mentioned later on in your message but didn't quite make the dealine for this jam unfortunately. I really appreciate the explicit feedback about it and the validation on the path I'm taking for it thank you!

You aren't the only player who has brought up the wording on the directions and it is something I am going to address asap!

Overall I think this is a fun puzzle game with a cute art style and great theme!

  • How many puzzles did you get through?
    • I got to the level called blobby in the second world.
  • Were there any cats that weren't clear?
    • I could not figure out that level with the new blob cat but all cats before it were fairly easy to understand especially once you got the tool tip on them.
  • If you used a controller (especially a playstation one) were there any issues you encountered?
    • Used a mouse.
  • What did you like most?
    • I really enjoy puzzle games in general, and you have created an interesting rule set. The cat theme and their particularities are a great match for that rule set.
  • What did you like the least?
    • The second level with the guard cats, while I felt I understood the rules of that cat, the solution I finally came up with didn't make sense to me fully, but I couldn't put a finger on what was happening.

Thank you for playing and for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The guard cat feedback is super valuable and you aren't the only person who has brought it up, I think I have to go back  and improve the rule for that one. I think it isn't triggering when people expect it and should just always protect no matter what instead of after a delay.

I love the cats!! The arrow interactions feel great and juicy and its always fun to pat the cats haha
I really like how easy it is to undo your actions

I'm uncertain if this is a game I would buy on steam, idk thats your ultimate goal or not. Feel like it'd need more crunch to it to appeal to me there. But I could see myself playing this on an ipad as is!

Thank you for playing and for your honesty!

TBH I'm not 100% sure what my final goal for the game is at the moment I'm just enjoying working on it alonside a couple of other project but mobile is definitely a consideration.
