The writing alone was worth the play. The pixel art style really puts the whole thing together. Good execution but there's definitely some odd jank (I accidentally tutorial'd twice and lost 2 days, resetting erases days you already went through?). But solid entry regardless!

It is a good concept and it can be improved with some UX/UI design. I could plan the schedule but i have to manually fast-forward the time to see the results. The game also ends up with a mobile aspect ratio in window mode and ultrawide screen will the mess up the UI as well.
I like the idea of what you have, reminds me a lot of Needy Streamer Overload in the game style. I understand that the complete gameplay didn’t make the deadline, looks like there were a lot of systems you had to cut, but what you did have was really nice aesthetically, I liked the pixel art for the members and general visuals.
I did try to progress to an end, but the tasks weren’t updating and there seemed to be no deadline, so I wasn’t sure if there was a completion state.
One design comment I have that is indepdendent of the incomplete build state is that I think the scheduling screen would benefit from some display of your current stat before and after the event changes it. It was a bit annoying to swap between the schedule and stat screens every time I needed to check to see what my current stats were like (i.e. checking where my mood level was or who I needed to raise relationship with still). Displaying the new totals on the screen displaying the day’s results would also be nice too.
Good work regardless, being able to put the game out in any state is worth celebrating. I would love to see an expanded complete version in the future!
I like the concept and the idea you had for this, but I could tell you didn't have enough time to really flesh out and put everything into it. It wasn't clear what I had scheduled and there's a few UI bugs I ran into while going through the game. I think this idea would benefit with how other management sims of this genre do it where you decide daily what to do instead of planning out entire weeks. For example, Umamusume has deadlines for races where you have 11 turns (or days in your case) before some race happens so you need to train up each turn to prepare for it and future events. Your idea is there and can definitely be expanded!
I like the music and writing, and the idea is really neat. It's fun to work out exactly what I need, and how best to get those stats.
But I do wish the tutorial was a bit more clear about what the gameplay loop is, or what exactly the deadline is. It was unclear what day I was on, or what days I was scheduling. I also had no idea what was going on with the fixed days, or if I ran out of time or did something that decreased Mori's mood unexpectedly to cause me to lose.
Still, not bad for a game jam, good job!
Wait I won't get to Hololive just by sending an e-mail? <pikachuface_meme.jpg> <sound_of_shattering_dreams>
Also a little lie because, Tutorial was very interesting and really got me into the game :)
I like the concept, I would gladly play it again with more content and more polish, but even now it was pretty interactive on its own for a jam game. I liked dialogues and the main story.
The art is fantastic, I really enjoyed aesthetic of everything. The UI, the oshis, mane chan. Really fantastic job with these. Kudos!
What I would improve:
- In the scheduler view I would like to to see the stats of my oshi, preferably live updated when I change length of actions.
- The time progressing is a little confusing, as I could not pause the time completely. So I was not sure if it is also a time challenge to plan everything in time or not. If it was then I would replace pause icon with something else.
- In the scheduler view I would like to see on which day we are currently on, just for QoL
- I would add option to schedule multiple actions in one day, maybe with some 1
And in some far far future, I would add hardcode mode with managing multiple talents at once :D
Overall a very promising game. I cannot wait for updates for this one o7
No credits in game or on the itch page got me crying
Credit yourself please!
Art is really good, and the gameplay premise is interesting, but I have to agree it needs a little bit more polish. Hope you can come back and finish it out after the jam cause there's a lot of potential, good work!
Cool idea and very cute art! The gameplay could use some polish, but that's how game jams tend to go.
Interesting game! I like the dialogues, the humor is on point! The art is great, everyone looks very cute. But the gameplay could use a little polish! There is no stat for "art skill" and the task to improve that is non-selectable. Instead there is "gaming" skill which does not improve with any task. I think this is an oversight during development or something. Also, skipping days does not improve the mood on my end so essentially every day the mood gets drained until it reaches 0 lmao.
I think the concept is great and if expanded could become a cool management sim!
It seems like the tutorial screwed up. I got to the part where it was saying what different parts of the screen are, but at some point it stopped matching up with anything actually on the screen. Then the tutorial disappeared and I could schedule stuff but not do anything else.
I liked the sprite work and the general premise of the game.
It's unfortunate you couldn't finish it on time. I noticed one of the activities couldn't be assigned in the schedule and also there seems to be no way for the talents to recover "mood".
The credits screen (very important one) is also empty!
I hope you consider completing the game after the jam ends!
This game is pretty cool! I feel i could play it for a couple hours! I like management games!!
