Nov. 22nd 2025 to Jan. 11th 2026, I hosted my first jam event, the DOLL&KIGU JAM, out of a desire to see more earnest art about the things I like.
44 entries (over a 40% submission rate!!!) was way more than I imagined. A handful (including my own) of submissions was all I expected to see, so I'm beyond delighted that so many people felt compelled to participate.
Thank you to everyone who joined! I do plan to read/play/enjoy each entry at its own pace, so please bear with me as I get around to checking everything out. Of course this isn't a ranked jam, so there's no podium to wait for, but having your hard work be seen by at least one other person is the least one could do to thank everyone who submitted.
Maybe in the future I'll run another jam. Maybe the same theme, maybe something different. Who knows! But I hope this was a pleasant introduction to those who are new to jams, or was a good practice to those who have done this dance many times before.
PLEASE remember you don't need me coaxing you to make something cool about dolls. Make more art of the things you love! Start more projects! Finish the ones you've started. Just don't stop at the thinking stage--you have to actually make the things you think of or else they will not exist.
Thank you for participating in my plastic paradise <3 Be sure to check out the lovely entries, and please for my sake, play with your toys.
Love, Ppilotco
