Too much mashing for my taste, but cool that you used the jam to learn something new! What framework did you use and how was it working with it?
karl2d is the library and i don't want to hype it but it's probably what i'll use from now on until i die
I quite like the idea here, but my fingers hurt before I got 'to the point', I'm afraid. I might suggest adding 'keyboard mashing' or 'hold down the key' options, or something like that. I sure would have liked to see what happens when everything is fully /spoiler/. (edit: Oh, and I gave you more points on 'theme' than what I saw, I'm assuming there's some kind of firework/bomb as the climax)
Still, I'm glad I took time to experience at least part of it. Congrats on the submission, good luck
yeah that was exactly what i was thinking for the theme, fireworks acting like the bomb but i don't think i really nailed it.
but thanks, turning a first game made with the library and programming language was everything i wanted for this jam so maybe next one i'll make something more complete :)
i love the art but it really doesn't fit the theme or anything about the jam.
lack of music kinda puts it down a bit as well ;-;
great background art though!
i'm assuming this was made with raylib...? it's a great try at a new framework.
best of luck! :D
the idea was that bomb was fireworks being used by kids in the streets but i forgot that you have to show the sprite. Not really an excuse but what my thought process was for the theme
The Z button works :)
If the art was made by you and not just a stock asset, I think that's pretty cool. The fade and diffuse from the lighting is nice
It works.
I
yeah i painted it!! Sorry if it's a little funky.
I mainly wanted to try this new library and the odin programming language so i probably made the game in a couple hours including learning the language, the library, and building it for web LOL
You did freakin' great, all things considered, if that's the case. Congrats. I think it's actually quite pretty. I just can't mash x that long without questioning life
