Sorry I totally forgot to mention that I had a partner that made music for this and some of the textures . Here's the credit for them and the link for their YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@mcs_art__-kq4ti?si=IGILyuljTbKZm8yP. Let me know if I can't post like this because I totally forgot
I honestly loved how psychedelic the game was overall ! the music was great and the lock on mechanic was a great touch!
It somehow reminds me of a temple in Might of Magic VIII! I also love the lock on effect! Do you plan to continue working on the project?
I might be continuing the project at a later date, I have an idea of what direction I want to go to with it. It might be less ocarina of Time like and more Kingdom hearts ish
Congratulations for making a 3D game in GameMaker, I remember it being quite complex. The lock-on system was also quite cool.
Thank you, was an easy. Took a lot of blood sweat and tears trying to figure out 3D over a course of 2 to 3 years. But I got to the point where it works relatively fine now.
Thank you for all of your comments, the idea was to have the trade be you sacrificing your physical strength to gain more mana or visa versa, personally I think I over scooped the game a bit, but it was all fun to the end, this was a fun jam to join hope to join again soon
I love the music that you used in this game. I can see the concept you were going for and it was fun and obviously if you had more time to flesh out the designs and animations it would have only added to that fun and immersion. I think you did great with the time you had and I like that you added different levels. Unfortunately I did not immediately see how the theme was expressed and I think if you added a short description it could provide more clarity
I love the nintendo 64 vibe with the music and art, super cool! Not having any animations or sprites did make it feel a bit off, and I don't really understand the soul trade here. Am I trading my soul, enemy souls, am I getting more mana or power, etc. But honestly, the gameplay actually was pretty fun, and I like the abilities you came up with! Keep up the good work!
