Hey! Really neat detail to have with the snow trails as you walk. I can see the vision you had for the game with the keeping up of player needs trying to keep them alive. I do think it was a bit unforgiving, I learned to play by dying a lot which I think in general is not the most intuitive way to learn hah.

Overall great job, it looks like you put it good work into the game systems. Keep it up!

Thanks so much! If we call it a roguelike does it work? That's a really solid note tho, we need to try to create a tutorial screen for the next one. I agree, it is not instantly intuitive, and that would definitely benefit our next one. Thanks again for playing

Really creepy!

I really liked the art style and sound design. It really captured the alone feeling of being out in open in the wilderness.

I liked the mashing mechanic of the  generator as well, but I wish you had more to do with it when it wasn't already going out so you could manage multiple things more consistently to mix up the gameplay.

On the whole though, fun game. Really tough as time goes on!

Thank you so much!

That is a good suggestion, but do you think that would have been a better approach or do you think adding another element to manage would have been a better approach? I agree that it would be nice to have something you could do with the generator more consistently, but I also think that the end result allowed you to pump up the generator at a nice rate and that the stress to fun ratio ended up working out really nicely with it. I would love to get your follow-up thoughts if you have time?

Of course, I'm happy to provide follow-up thoughts!

I think adding another resource to manage in addition to the current three would be a better approach now that you mention it, yeah. I was mostly thinking about the generator because it was in the game as I currently saw it, but adding an extra thing would probably work better because the generator as it stands does have an interesting design. It necessitates some thought to how to interact with it. I.e: When its been a while since the generator went out you can stop running logs and preemptively go over to crank the generator. I had this work out a few times and it felt super rewarding.

My thought was mostly in terms of what youre doing when the generator isn't out, and the switch doesn't need to be flipped. It becomes a little flowcharty. You run logs until something happens, and I thought it would be cool to have two things to balance in those periods where youre just kind of maintaining the area so there can be more strategy to optimizing your routes.

I definitely agree that the resources deplete at a good rate, which keeps you busy, but not so much that you feel overwhelmed, so I think adding more would have to come at the expense of tweaking the others down to keep the current engagement level.

Thanks for the follow up!

Yeah, I think that all makes sense, I had a similar experience. There were one or two times where I had to focus on just the logs and felt like it would be helpful to crank the generator, but the rate of depletion and the refill to it feels like it is at a nice balance. Also, my girlfriend did the same thing and did really well with that, and I could not do that haha it did not work any time I tried, you both are better at the game than I am! Thanks again, that feedback is excellent!

The audio design is good , it makes me rly feel the creepy atmosphere, and the gameplay is very intense , but I couldn't beat the game.
But I enjoyed smashing my keyboard to get the generator to work.

Thank you so much, that's awesome to hear! Haha I agree, smashing the keyboard to get the generator to work is amazing.

Very creepy! Cool art style and great sound design, it would have been nice to have a way to win the game instead of always dying, but it definitely felt tense! Neat little game!

Thank you so much! I agree, we were working on it and ran out of time! Thanks so much for your time and feedback

I didn't really see the limitation anywhere, other than that nice job!

The theme and art were really well done.
