I love retro games! Brings back so much memories playing the OG Mario games. Overall, the game felt very responsive and the movement was fluid. The sounds fit well with the retro theme.

The movement feels good and the sound design is on point, I really like the jump sound effect! Just fyi , there were a few glitches where the player or enemies would get knocked off of platforms for seemingly no reason. I found the controls for doing the downward shoot on the keyboard quite tricky, I imagine it's a game that's best played using a controller. Good job though, it feels very polished!

This was very fun! I also struggled a little bit with figuring out the shooting down mechanic, but once I figured it out the rest was a lot of fun. This feels just challenging enough to be satisfying, without being so frustrating you want to quit. Good job, I'd love to see this expanded on!

Took me a while to realize you could shoot down, but once I got it the game really clicked.

Would love to try out some more complex levels with this movement system.

Definitely a fun but challenging arcade game! I didn't realize I could double jump (by shooting down) until I read some comments... but after that I was able to reach the flag! Love the aesthetic and feel. Very nice platformer! :D
