Feels like a game that I could actually buy, with real money. Such cohesive visual design as well. Incredible work!

The great sound design was a great addition as it was a bit difficult to see the branches dropping. I was also a bit confused about the check boxes on the seeds that were required for each mission, as I first thought that they were selected to be planted. Being able to walk while placing items, as well as toggle the menu with the number keys (1/2), would be good additions I think.

I had a blast playing this entry!! 🌟

Audio is superb, art style is cohesive and very nice to look at. I don't mind the heavy use of the color pink because it makes the important stuff stand out and I see this as more of a chill second monitor game. The lore tidbits are well written and  it's actually exciting when you find a new lore recording.
Really good gameplay loop. Feels almost like Satisfactory the way it gives you a new goal to work towards to unlock new resources to build more new stuff. Love how you can just run into trees to get wood, but this later becomes tedious once you need a lot of wood. And I'm sure this is a jam thing but there are some trees near the outskirts (and I found 1 near the center) that do not drop wood.
I'm also a little unsure about the energy system as it hinders the flow a bit. Maybe add a more noticeable prompt or alarm when those wind turbines are full. However, I truly think it would be better to not make the player manually harvest those turbines and instead just make them automatically distribute energy to nearby crops. This would give the player some downtime to be able to explore the map. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Hi Wagyu Dev, thank you very much for trying the game and leaving a detailed review! I will comment on some points:

I was very happy that you mentioned the lore pieces. I spent more time than I assume would be ideal for a jam writing them 😁

Regarding the amount of required wood and even fruit throughout the game, I received a lot of criticism in this regard, about the progression curve not being as smooth as would be ideal. Unfortunately, I didn't get much testing (by other people) during the game's development, and I think that had an overall impact on my perception of difficulty.

Finally about energy, this was a point of many doubts during development, I considered the possibility of the generator changing the growth speed of the surrounding plants, instead of requiring it to collect energy and feed the growing vegetables, but I was a bit afraid of the game becoming "too idle" since its a bit limited in terms of game mechanics/verbs.

Thanks again for the detailed analysis. I'll be testing your game soon, too. I followed its development on Discord, and your art is fantastic!

Of course man, I'm happy to give feedback much as I can. I also saw some of your screenshots on discord and this was the first game I tried lol. I'll be checking out your other games at some point too, really love your art style. Oh and for the wood stuff I was thinking, instead of lowering the amount required it would probably be more interesting to add new unique ways to harvest wood.

This game was amazing. The ambient music was very captivating, and I must say your art is inspiring. Awesome work!

I was able to complete the game and everything was so polished that it provided such a great experience.

Pretty wonderful stuff. First off, the background of the page and the webpage matching the games style is such a nice touch (howd u do that lol). The Ui design is easy to use and fire to look at. The overall progression of farming is easy to understand and the goals system works so well.

Sound design is fire.  love the ambient music. The sfx that play for the goals are like perfect. The sound of the groaning mass scared the shit outta me lol.

lowkey the only thing i kinda didnt like and its super nit picky is that its sooo pink. like i kinda wish the floor was some other color so my eyes could take a break from it lol.

and that the controls were kinda cooked because i had to press escape to click on stuff but im guessing that may or may not be on purpose.

but other than that i think the games pretty great.

Also wat engine did u use?

Hi zikondou, thanks for the detailed analysis!

I'm happy with the reactions to groaning mass 😁 Did you get the lore about it by chance? I think it's the most hidden part of the story

Regarding the pink palette, this was a deliberate risk. I know it looks monochromatic, but I was in love with the idea of separating the two universes by color (locals in pink, invaders in blue), and I ended up getting carried away. I probably should have added a little more variety, especially the plants.

Regarding the engine, all my games are made in Godot. I've played around with many others (unity, unreal, phaser, cocos) but only Godot makes me feel like I'm actually having fun while working on a project

Again, thank you very much for the review ☺️

Wow incredible systems and content! For the length of the jam, this game is amazing. I really like the color scheme and the style consistency. Ambient music is well designed and everything has a really cozy and cohesive feel.

I love how the game can feel like an extremely comforting ambient while simultaneously having a sinister tone to it! The lore is clearly extremely well built and I can't help but tell you: your audio design is absolutely amazing, it gives such an unique feeling to the game and helps give the player a lot of feedback on each thing that they do!

Thank you for the review, Fantoche De Caixa! I'm glad you liked the sound design. It took a good amount of time to make everything fit together. It's a mix of adventure + sci-fi sounds 😁

PS: Are you also Brazilian/Portuguese?
