This could be a VERY cute educational game for kids! The only issue I had with it was the movement between the trees as others mentioned too, but I feel like with that out of the way and some polishing, you'd could easily pitch this to a kids games publisher!

Hey! This was a really short and cute game. Very nicely done with the journal theme in the main menu and in game, love that style of UI design. Exploring the outdoors trying to find all the animals for the pictures was neat (would have been super cool if I was able to take a picture at an angle that I chose).

The only big issue I really had was the trees registering the mouse clicks. Sometimes I had moments where I would try to explore deep behind the trees and almost got stuck trying to get back out. Fixing the tree clicks and maybe adding a silhouette to the player when they are behind a tree (minor thing) would have made this game super smooth to play.

Great work on the project and thank you for the experience!

well, that both was and wasn't what I expected, generally good in both respects.  I also had some issues with the controls; I was generally holding LMB and dragging around to move, and I think the trees were registering the target position instead of the ground.  I think the wide camera made it too simple.  A camera closer to the ground might have felt like more of an exploration in the woods, though that might conflict with the click to move.

animal drawings and models were both cute.  I would have liked to take my own pictures, maybe clicking the icon enters first person?  idk if you would have had time though.  music and other visuals were also charming, liked the glasses on the mc.  I also thought the band-aid was her mouth for a bit, which made me chuckle

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Funnily enough the photo camera was originally supposed to actually do that but sadly we ran out of time :( I agree it would’ve been a great idea tho!

… and yes the trees were messing up where the game was registering player movement, ah well, a thing to remember for next time! Moving the cam closer would’ve probs fixed that issue!

Cute game! The animals look so cute especially the pictures in the journal. So adorable! The controls were a little bit difficult. Sometimes the character moved in a complete different direction than I wanted. Also, in the journal the description of the seal and the rabbit were swapped. But still a really cute and cozy game idea ^_^

Thank you for the feedback!!

Oh man I completely missed that journal mishap, whoops.. Thank you for mentioning it!! xd

I agree the controls are a little difficult, i think it’s an issue with sometimes registering the trees not the floor, definitely a thing to remember for next time!
