Fun short game, simple minigames but easy to pick up. Respect for working with the constraints of RPG Maker.

It was a bit hard to figure out what was interactable with, the names help but it felt like it could have been a little more obvious. Also, it isn’t immediately obvious you get the book after the crow fight, a pop-up for that would be nice because I was wandering around for a bit trying to search for it.

Good work!

Is this using RPG Maker XP? In 2026? Lol, I really respect that if that true!

Anyway, what a cute novelknight and bookwyrm, also loves the music pump up when battling the final boss!

Well,.... I did get it for free from RPGM Festival that Shiori mentioned, so I am making the most out of money worth haha

Cute and short game! The last fight was pretty silly!

Short little RPG-maker style game! Simple and easy to understand, though the final (and only) battle is rather one-sided for both sides. Either you win with one hit, or the enemy casts Blink and you'll never hit them again.

Jam Judge

Very short and straight to the point game.

Complete the challenges and retrieve the items.

I liked the cute ending screen.

I don't know if it was intentional but the crow fight was a one hit win, which was pretty funny.

It would be nice to know the backstory for the game. How did we end up here?

Really like the splash screens in this game, especially the last one!

I also need to raise the issue of combat, it's nice that its in, but definitely very rudimentary. If you get unlucky and don't get the first move, I don't think you can kill the crow at all. otherwise you just blast that poor bird out of the sky.

While it's funny, would definitely like to see the combat balanced out to actually be fair, or at least more even balanced, if you want to continue in that direction with the project.

Would definitely like to see the puzzles expanded as well, but a good start for the requirements for the jam.

Good work!

A cute little game, good job on the art.  And nice job keeping the gameplay interesting without focusing on combat in an RPG maker game.

I agree, it wasn't very clear I had to go back to the start in the at the end.  I got lucky with only a couple second to spare.

A good attempt. When fighting the bird, it becomes unwinnable if you don't attack first. It would be good if there is some way to track the quest or the next objective. I didn't know I had to return back to the start and ran out of time the first time lol.

Oh boy, an RPG Maker XP game!  It's been a long time since I played one of these.  It honestly felt nostalgic to play this game because of that.

As for the game itself... it was pretty basic.  A lot of the "difficulty" came from just from figuring out where to go and what to interact with.  Otherwise, it was just basic RPG Maker XP movement, and what combat there was ended in a single attack.

I did appreciate the descriptions of the items you were collecting in the inventory when I went to take a look.  Thanks to that, all of advent was referenced in some way.  And the art in both ending screens, for winning, and then for letting time run out and being "sliced by erosion" was a nice touch.

Little bit hard to tell with what objects you can interact. Bird boss fight was unexpected but not really a fight. Novelite just build different, I guess.

Not everyone owns any version of rpgmaker. I recommend you reupload this ASAP with the RTP included. If you don't know how to do that, it's probably explained on the website. I had to guess which version of rpgmaker you used and install the package myself to play your game.

Developer

Fix released, tested on another device and now works perfectly!

Thanks for telling me btw! I would've been completely oblivious 😓
