Need Help Playing the New Update 1.3.9

I've been trying to download and play the final part but it seems that im still playing the 1.3.5 version instead of the 1.3.9 that was released recently and I dont know why. i tried not putting in my old save file but some how my saves were still accessed. i deleted my old game folder but that didnt work. i tried merging the files into one folder and replaceing it with all the new stuff but that broke it so i deleted that and redownloaded.
This is the first time ive experianced something like this and i really want to see the ending i got so i'd appreciate any help.

I made some changes in the last part, 1.3.5, and it may have broken the save files.

In fact, the endings are free, so if your save file is broken, you're not missing out on much, since the game doesn't follow a specific route and is free, so it won't restrict your access to a specific ending.

so i tried redownloading the game onto another PC But im still getting the to be continued after the train station. the same stopping point at as 1.3.5. again new download new pc same stopping point. again id appreciate any help you can provide.

some thing i did notice on the site is that the version linked in the 1.3.9 update devlog is the 1.3.5. but when i go to the downloads it states 1.3.9 so im wondering if itch.io is the culprit.

So i just looked at the files and i can see the images and pngs so i know i have them in the game so why am i unable to continue the game

I see, maybe something broke over the last update. Can you provide me with your savefile or post your stats? I will give it a check for the next update to fix it :)
