I have done so in the form of fanfiction writing and roleplaying over the course of nearly 10 years, but now I am looking to taking my writing skills to video games! I have been playing itch.io games for as long as I can remember, and now I wanna take my creative skills to the test with game jams! About My Entry Without giving too much away, I want to turn a specific episode of Miraculous Ladybug on its head in a visual novel format. I believe it has some unfortunate implications in its message at best and romanticizes dark tropes at worst, and so it would be turned into more of a story where you play as the character involved in this situation. You can make certain choices as this character, and it will affect your ending, but all endings will question the canon narrative and bring to light how these toxic mindsets are romanticized and such. What I Need Co-writers: I would like someone more experienced in writing for video games to help me out. Preferably, you would know Miraculous Ladybug and this episode in particular, but those who don't know is fine as well as I can catch you up. Artists: For character sprites and backgrounds, perhaps UI assets as well. I would love anime style for everything. Programmers: Someone to actually put the game together! Music Producers: For background music and sound effects. Voice Actors: If we have time, perhaps the lines could be voiced, or we can add this after submitting to the game jam.
