Ranking based off of the jam categories, hopefully it provides some useful feedback!

Fun 3/5: It's really funny. The second I saw the [REDACTED] argument telling me not to defeat an enemy with it, I defeated an enemy with it. I can see a ton of potential in fleshing this out a bit farther. The only reason I give it a three is because it does not seem possible to fail in any way, so there's very little in the way of stakes. It's just play around and click buttons until you win. Other than that this is a great foundation!

Graphics 2/5: I mean it's prototype art. There's nothing wrong with that for a game jam, but there isn't really all that much art direction to go off. It is functional though which definitely counts for something.

Music / Sound Design 3/5: There is music that doesn't overstay it's welcome given how long it took me to play this game. As far as I could tell there really isn't any sound effects.

Concept 5/5: This is an awesome concept and I'd love to see it fleshed out further with proper turn based "combat."

I like the concept! I wish this wasn't turned in early and I could have seen a more finished product. Please continue to work on this one and post more progress in the Discord, I'd love to see what you turn it into.

Thanks for the feedback!

I’ll at least try to continue working on this one in February for the CYG , although I need to get better at managing my time.

And yeah, I’ll post progress updates in my Discord and on the game page as devlogs!

such an interesting idea! it feels pretty unpolished (normal for game jam games, my last one just broke in the middle :p) but I really dig the concept of attacks dealing damage to some stats and healing others. keep at it id love to see where this idea can go!

I'd probably encourage a little UI work. A little color and design would go a long way in any game with RPG mechanics.

With animations and some juice (among other things) it could be absolutely fire ! As it is, it just looks rigid, which is very understandable, of course.
