as the title says i would like to know if you use ai in this game

Everything is AI in this game, then it is smothered in hugs and kisses for the final polish.

In other words AI Gen with manual input and touchup.

This not a negative btw, the scale and quality of this project would literally be impossible for a single developer (with some assistance from others here and there) without AI Assistance. There is still 1000s of hours of mind shattering labour that goes into it.

Yikes, using ai is such a big red flag. Thanks for confirming this is slop. I'll be passing this up.

And this may be just my opinion, but if the scale of this project would be "impossible for a single developer without ai assistance," then it simply should not exist. Plenty of real art made by real artists that are much better than yet another piece of ai slop.

There sure is 馃憤 each to their own. Enjoy 馃檪

I鈥檒l say it again, regarding this project and the images alone, this isn't just spamming a generate button. The models are custom configured to achieve these specific results. On top of that, hours of editing go into each piece using PhotoshopIllustrator, and Procreate. There are actual artists and editors spending significant time hand crafting the work you have referred to as 'slop'

Hello there,

Saying you don't like that it uses Ai is fair, calling it slop however is just ignorant. The assets are not done with a single click of a button, editing takes time, coding requires knowledge, and minigames and such are not done with the ai.

One of the main reasons the game is free is the use of Ai, and simply saying "if impossible, it shouldn't exist", is also not fair to say. Starmaker serves as a project players can enjoy while waiting for RS and it doesn't cost a dime.

There's a clear difference between "Ai slop", and a game that uses Ai as complement.

all ai is unethical it's use of ressources to cool down is destroying the earth faster then any technology we have made yet. futher more all gen ai (and all llm's to some extent) are build on stolen art. so you are rhigt in the exteant that yes a person can youse ai to help them self but unles it is hosted on a local server build with out any stolen data and also is more of a labotemite then an ai suporter then yes it can be used for good and i guess you could argue that then it is not slop. but until that any use of ai will make it slop. slop can be good i like some slop (not ai slop) but it is stil slop

Hello to the team at Arvus Games! Despite the naysayers here whose names I won't name, I just want to let you all know that many of us (which I would assume is a silent majority) do appreciate the work that you've put into Starmaker Story and we enjoy the game as it is even if it does utilize AI (which, tbh, is just simply another tool). Please don't give up on this project. We look forward to the next updates and seeing this game to its completion. Again, thanks!

Hello there,
There are no plans to stop. This kind of feedback will continue to happen with Ai, as a lot of people can only see it black and white. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and the only thing we can say to the kind of user is to just be respectful in the way of conducting themselves and don't interact with a product that causing them discomfort or that they don't respect/like.

Take it as a complement that they needed to ask in the first place, good AI is when you cannot tell  馃憤
