I love the idea, and the graphics really help set the mood, it gives a Resident Evil vibe, which is nice. I like the sonar sound too, it feels weird for this game but it strengthens the mood.

The only downside is the control, the fact that you can’t aim while moving makes it hard to aim and dodge the zombies, making you force to take hits from the zombies while you shoot at them, and if would be a good addition to add some options to kill the zombies when you don’t have any ammos anymore.

Really like the zombie theme and the atmosphere. As mentioned in other comments, I would have loved to just smack the zombies when I was out of ammo, but had fun overall! :)

To be fair one of the best twists here. The room and the game atmosphere is 5/5 alongside the zombie's theme. Great entry.

An interesting direction for a roguelike-- but I feel like fundamentally there's a dissonance of goals between having to manage limited ammo and being forced to kill all enemies to leave a room and progress. I wasn't able to get very far before running out of ammo. The aesthetic is alright, I think the beeping is a bit much but the rest comes together.

As others have mentioned - the aiming, but also I wish i could just beat the zombies when I'm out of ammo. Other than that I think the sound sets the right mood for shooting up some zombies.

Its a fun take on game theme. I struggled with the aiming as well, but mostly only when I was forced to "retreat", Never turn your back on a zombie, its hard to get good aim when gotta turn around. They move faster than you think xD Also, I learned to always enter the room in the center of the hall because the zombies spawn in the center. But its on its way to be a fleshed out game, keep at it!

Thank you! I will definitely work on the melee pointing via direction of mouse point

i like shooting part but i dont like aiming part. It would be much nicer if i could move with WASD and aim with mouse seperately

Interesting and ambitious to transpose the design of the 2D roguelike into a 3D world. I like the tricks you've used to keep the spirit of the roguelike by having blind corners to trigger random encounters, and limited ammo requiring careful management of resources. A contemporary theme with - as the title says, guns and zombies - feels a little more fresh and interesting than the millionth dungeon crawl with swords and generic monsters.

For constructive feedback, there's a few janks to iron out that might make things a little smoother to play. Controls are precise, but as the other commenter has mentioned, a pivot/swing to allow the player sprite to turn towards the mouse aim would help. Bullet control is paramount, but if you run out, there's not a lot you can do but twiddle your thumbs until you die. Maybe a weaker melee could add a bit of a last-ditch option?

Developer

Yeah will definitely update the melee part when the jam is finished voting.

Really hope you keep refining, you've got a good concept here!

I enjoyed it, but the game presents itself as a twin-stick shooter, yet the controls feel awkward— you have to manually move into the direction you want to shoot, which is especially challenging in tight spaces with limited room to maneuver.
