Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
I have published it on the internet, made it public to anyone that has the link. I think that should do it!

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
Climb iconic buildings like that bloke off Netflix. All in the name of love. Use timing and reflexes to get to the top of buildings.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
You become world famous for your climbing prowess.

Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
No.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
This game is a lot of fun, if I say so myself. Don't rage quit, get to the end.

Playability:
Rage game mechanics with a less brutal touch. You've done a good job at defining where the player can and should go. The cheesy wotsits are also a nice touch.

Theme:
Not very heavy on the theme implementation but slowly eases into it.

Cleverness:
Great jokes, references, and writing overall. I too want cheesy wotsits for courage and energy.

Artistic Style:
Silly and consistent throughout. You've done a good job here.

Thanks for the review and glad you seemed to like it! Cheers

The writing, jokes and references were all really funny and well placed lol

I liked the mechanics, and adding the ability to immediately catch yourself to cancel a bad directional position was a good skill based feature.

Honestly didn't have any real problems with the games. It was challenging, funny and enjoyable.

Really good Job!

Thanks! Glad you liked it and thanks for playing!

Easy to understand mechanics, if frustrating at times. Nice to have the R key to redo if we know the jump won't land. Good ideas, perhaps too punishing not being able to cancel the jump.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I did have a full jump cancel but it did make it too easy as you could just keep going til you got it right, so I replaced it with the quick regrab with space, but I know this can be tough.

I did rage quit and then read your page. So I went back and got all the way to the end. I was only halfway out of stamina and it just got stuck like this, with stamina still depleting. Still attempt to do it again (many, many times) and haven't made it.

Anyway, the humor is top notch. It's definitely addicting, but that better not be the end. :D

You really captured the soul of each of the places we visited along the way. ;)

ah nightmare! Really sorry. Not sure how this happened. (also not sure how you managed to get up so high above them on the last jump, I was always just clearing the platform with a double jump, so think you may have exited the trigger at the top or something.) Will fix it after the jam. Thanks for letting me know. Thanks loads for playing!

That makes sense.

Yeah, I found out that if you trigger the second jump almost as soon as you leave the platform you get a huge boost. Wasn't sure that was intentional, but it helps skip a few platforms. I die a lot more trying to do it, but it's fun to try and get those, so if it wasn't a feature, keep it as a feature. :)

Yes I found the bug, thanks again because I'd never have found this! There is a rectangular trigger at the top that sets the platform to collide, and I had accidentally left an old script on it meaning that when you leave the trigger the trigger itself becomes collidable. You had flown out of the top of that trigger. It was indeed the idea that you could give yourself an extra boost by clicking quickly, to play with the physics. Though I tried loads of times and still didn't manage to get as high as you did and leave the trigger! Good effort ;) - I will say though you have completed the game, there's just one dialogue after that and it's done. So good job! :) Thanks again

That's good to hear. It's a great rage-bait game, and I am all raged out. It could really be something great. I hope you continue improving it and get streamers to play it, making a million dollars off of it. I really think you could.
