The premise of the game is good, but the execution is a bit lacking. I would love to see the evolving mechanic, but I wandered on 3 different levels of the map and only met 1 enemy at the start, then one after (who killed me), it seems most rooms are empty except for some food in 1 room out of 2.

The visuals are good and the monster selection + spells are a very nice touch, and using the grass as FOV is a good idea, the game just needs a little bit of balancing to be great.

Congrats on finishing in time anyway, I know it can be hard !

Thank you for the feedback. The rooms were very lacking indeed, and the game as a whole was unbalanced. But I hope the next version (the one that will show in the live-stream) is more playable!

Pretty cool game, but it needs more polishing and maybe some decluttering. I dont get the food mechanic when i am near enough to the food so the fog removes, i have already eaten it usually.

You are absolutely right. I just checked here and for some reason the "pickup area" was the same for all evolutions. I will fix it ASAP! Unfortunately I can just update the page after the votes end... Well, thanks for the feedback and see you in the future!

I like the visuals :) Can imagine this as a cool game once its more finished!

Developer(+1)

The game will be easier (AKA balanced) in the next version if you ever want to give a try. The word "finished" may be too much, but at least you guys will be able to evolve and not be kill while exploring the maps... I also can't stop looking at your profile pic, really charming.

I loved the polygonal monsters and the overworld clearing bush effect it was very satisfying I like to think the game breaking after I beat all the bosses is just my dog (named monkey) was too powerful for this realty

well done mixing two genres !!

Developer(+1)

You are a Legend dude! I hope you had some fun and not just frustation. And as the dev I can confirm: monkey was too powerful. So much that I had to nerf him for the next build! But for real: thanks for playing!

I was a little put off by the monster graphics but the aesthetic is overall nice, and I really like "fog of war" being reenvisioned as bushes you need to clear out. The level map and the random items with buffs/debuffs are 100% Rogue flavor, and the abilities are a nice touch. I also really like the idea of: when you die, you can keep playing as a different monster. I didn't really catch on to the evolve mechanics, couldn't get enough experience to try it out.

Sorry for the shit game and making you (and the others) lose time on it! I almost didn't publish it, but this was such a great learning experience for me, that I though "why not? ". My first time doing 3D, my second game on Godot, the overall UI... I learned A LOT of things, but the game is garbage, I even couldn't test it before submitting so it has a bunch of bugs and unbalanced enemies... also placeholders all over the place XD
