How does your game represent "Slick"?
One use of the titular grappling hooks, and I bet you anything Dunkey would say "oh they were pretty slick for that." Also some of the obstacles might be slippery I guess, but mostly the first thing.

I laughed, I cried, I experienced a deep sense of despair followed by overwhelming joy having reached the top. I'm a huge fan of Getting Over It and I will forever call Bennet Foddy the Foddster from now on lol. Loved the voice lines to accompany the journey, and I firmly believe that two grappling hooks is the only way to go from now on.

Fun game mechanic with an interesting presentation.
I was going to leave a comment saying you were so busy considering whether you COULD have a game with two grappling hooks that you never stopped to ask if you should. But the fact you included a voice line specifically if you fall out of the map tells me you knew what you were doing.
I found the main character very relatable, as a grad student, I too have had the occasional urge to boil myself alive in a cauldron.

Great fun :) I enjoyed hearing all the voice lines, and moving with the dual hook-shots was quite satisfying. I was able to hit the ground floor and hear the "Yeah you're going to have to restart" line :p

I liked the voice acting, and the game itself is quite enjoyable.
This was a great homage to getting over it! It has a very similar charm. and the vocal work was a nice touch. I am upset about the bats though :)
