How does your game represent "Slick"?
Slick isn’t just the surface of the the ice. It’s the idea that the best move is never touching the curling stone at all.

Very interesting idea and it fits well with the theme. Completing the levels was quite satisfying once I had the mechanics down. Nice work!

Great concept and levels, I've never seen anything quite like this. I loved getting the puck to bounce so hard my PC screamed.

Very nice idea! it took me a while get learn to move fast enough to solve the puzzles. id love more complex, but maybe slower levels.

This is a really unique idea, I like.

The game is pretty fun and well made! The gameplay is also quite unique. My issues are mostly that sometimes the bumpers cause a lot of lag and that sometimes you want to setup more before the ball starts moving.

Thanks for playing! Sorry to hear about the performance issues. I was hoping that by limiting the set up time it would make this feel a bit more of an action game than just a straight puzzle. I could see having options to allow a more puzzle based experience for someone who wants that.

Very unique concept executed quite well! The player gets a lot of agency in how they approach each level and I like that you could even change the tiles on the fly to get that last little extra push to the finish line!

I did my best to put the rock in the house, but I'll never be the skipper at this rate :(
Super original! I'm really glad I got to see this one!

Sounds like you may be better versed in the lingo than I am. Thanks for playing! I hope you dropped the hammer?

Love the concept and gameplay. Presentation is very nice as well.

This was a really cool and unique take on the theme! The web player got a bit laggy with the more complicated trajectories, but I had a really fun time!

Very fun little puzzle game, I just wish there was more!

Was a bit tricky to figure out but the game design seems really complicated and well executed and we had a lot of fun playing it!  Definitely a cool and unique way to incorporate the theme, don't think there's too many curling-themed video games out there:)

when i first switched to the other brooms and saw the trajectory change in real time i thought, "yeah, this is slick" the levels were clever and it definitely took some time to get the hang of it but i thuroughly enjoyed it!

Really interesting idea, I  can't say I've ever seen someone attempt a curline-like game but this was fun. It's a little rushed early on trying to get down the mechanics before having to restart, but once you figure it out it's interesting. FYI it got pretty laggy on longer paths, I'm assuming because you're recalculating the path every frame, when it only really needs to be recalculated on an update. Nice job with this!

I was pretty lazy with the performance here- thanks for the tip, I am for sure recalculating the path when it doesn't need to. I appreciate you playing!

100% agree with Mr Speaker, Broom shakalaka is the best possible name for a game like this, having to decide the direction on how much you want to lessen the friction is awesome. Good game, super smooth in all senses of the world.

As someone who has twice tried to make a curling game I feel I'm qualified to say... not only is this an incredible game, but "Broom Shakalaka" is hands-down the best video game name of all time. You must now make it your mission to track down the guy from NBA JAM to do the voice-over.

Crazy how people are like "oh yeah let's make a curling game" and then it's actually good.

Really cool concept, good level of challenge. Short, sweet. Nicely done!

Hey! Curling's cool okay! Thanks for the nice comments.

What a unique concept! Really challenged my snap-memory of clockwise/counterclockwise, haha.

The little voice quips were great. “GET IN THERE!”

Very unique mechanic that incorporates the theme perfectly! I love the polish of the golf-clap and confetti celebration on level complete.

This in an awesome idea that is executed really well. Great interpretation of the theme!  :) I love how hexagons movement isn't a binary 'clockwise' and 'counter-clockwise', rather a whole gradient of movement options. Honestly I haven't seen anything like it. Good job, you cooked!
