Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
You run a news studio and you will be required to make a decision whether to broadcast a certain news or not based on the current Anger, Panic and Hate levels of the general public. But the player has to be careful not to cause a riot among the public.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
The World is Watching - While you sit in your news studio and broadcast the news, it is being watched by the general public and the reactions of the general public will have consequences on your studio too so you have to strike a balance between your responsibility to your studio and the public.

Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
Yes - Some coding only

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Nothing particular

Playability:
Easy to understand and play. The resources are a bit strange feeling based on the shape of their bars. Overall a cool concept.

Theme:
Fits the theme well in that you are manipulating public discourse through news broadcast. Reminds me a bit of Not For Broadcast. Nice job.

Cleverness:
Interaction directly with the crowd to see feedback on choices is a nice touch. Needs more time to cook to really see how things play out.

Artistic Style:
Simple and consistent style here. Nothing wrong at all. Interested in seeing where you take this.

Thankyou for the constructive feedback and I'll surely work on my game more.

Defs a cool concept. I could see this being used for a superhero style newspaper editorial game. Like playing it, I was imagining a twist where different scoops show up about the appearance of Spiderman, and you decide whether to expose him or keep him hidden. It wouldn't even need to be Marvel IP for it to work, just some character we might care about protecting.

I thought the game mechanics were really interesting and it brings to mind a lot of ideas for more exploration on the theme. Nice work!

Hey thanks for trying out the game and for that encouraging feedback! I would surely think about adding a mechanic like that in further updates of the game!

Great start! Interesting concept, and kind of fun. Could use more story options. And I think I got stuck with the letter stories all being the same thing for my entire playthrough (someone really wanted to push the election story lol). Could use some sound effects and background music. If this was fleshed out for a full game, perhaps some checkpoints, like every 10 or 20 days or so, and add a couple of mechanics to the mix in each stage. Maybe something to "spend" money on (i.e. to pay photographers for stories) or to upgrade the business (color printing, digital distribution, a podcast, a streaming channel, hire people for different positions!). Overall, great effort!

Thankyou so much for that encouraging feedback! And those are really cool suggestion. I will definitely try to incorporate them in the next update of the game and Thankyou once again for playing!

Interesting idea for a resource management game.  A bit repetitive with the options; some repeated several times in the same position.

Hey Thankyou so much for trying out the game. I am a beginner to game development and I had very little time to make this due to personal reasons. I honestly thought no one would play it AND give feedback also. Yes, there is A LOT of scope for improvement and I hope I can do justice with the idea if I update it again. Thankyou once again!
