Dang, the music and sfx are awesome! I really really like the concept of the dash -> twirl, and that could even be expanded to like dash -> jump vs dash -> dash doing something else!

How does your game represent "Slick"?
From Builder: The idea of “slickness” was something we wanted to explore through gameplay more than literal oil “slickness” or a visual “cool guy” aesthetic, even if these did still influence the final project. Through a lot of ideation and concepts, we came to the conclusion of a game with a small assortment of actions (here, your jump, dash, and twirl) and a big range of how they can be used.

I ran into few issues while playing the game, but I really like the aesthetic!
The presentation is really cool in this game, I'm a big fan of the art and music! I was running into some crashes like others mentioned, I wasn't too sure of the intended way to kill enemies since I didn't see much feedback, refreshing wasn't too much of a setback though. Once I learned that I could do an extra jump out of the dash, moving around felt really cool!
Nice aesthetics, love the opening menu with the announcer, pixel art looks clean and the music is killing. The collision feedback could definitely be more clear, it took a while to be sure an enemy was killed, and I thought it was a bug the first time I died. Movement controls are slick though and I could see this being developed further. Oh your thumbnail image is awesome too!
The game is really broken.
I even broke the game by simply trying to travel up a slope.
Beyond that, I love the vibes of this game.
The game sounds, looks, and controls great!
I would love to see a full release of this game down the road.
BTW That banner art reminds me of Mighty Flip Champs! on the DSi which I absolutely love!
Dope vibes for sure, but yeah I had the same thing happen that the last comment was talking about where the character just disappeared and you need to refresh the page.
I love the style, the art and music really sell the classic feel, however when you die you have to refresh the page because the player disappears which was a little frustrating
Nice prototype of a game, I was into it and then it just stops, the boss dies in one hit and that's that.
Amazing art and immaculate vibes. The boss's design felt straight out of an SNES or Genesis game, as did the "Jet, Outrage!" voiceclip. Would have been a smoother experience with a game over and reset, but I still had a lot of fun. I really liked the movement; the combo of dash -> coyote jump -> dash -> twirl is really fun to pull off.
I really liked this, the music fits well, i liked the art direction, i would really like to see a demo version of this game in the future.
And if this was your first ever published itch project/jam you guys did some phenomenal work here congrats and keep going.
I really love the sounds and aesthetics, with more time this could be great.
