Genuinely a top contender for my favourite game jam submission this year, you guys perfectly balanced the blend between platform shooter and dating sim creating a brilliant game I wont forget in a hurry! It was such a pleasure to play this on stream today and I had no issues playing from start to finish! The dialogue and characters were amazing and provide a nice break inbetween the levels! You guys cooked a truly unique game thank you for asking me to play it and was lovely chatting to you Citrus !

Wowzer! Serious polish and awesome writing (funny, punchy, interesting). This is a hidden gem if I’ve ever seen one!

This was great! The concept is so much fun and the "currency" used to get the upgrades is very creative. I giggled a bit when I finally found the horse. I very much enjoyed my playthrough. Great work, everyone!

I was so powerful in battle, but I didn't get to seduce the horse. :/ Good game anyway, loved how the two halves of the game interconnected. Fun movement in the shooter parts, and cute writing in the dating sim parts. Great job! :)

I found the platforming sections to be a bit easy, due to how the player's bullets stop enemy bullets. Despite the lack of difficulty, they're also a bit time-consuming on a replay.

Anyway.

I'm speechless. The writing is really good, especially for a game jam. The upgrades are tied into the dialogue masterfully. The music was also phenomenal. This is such a polished and complete experience. Thank you for making this.

This is extremely well made, how did you make a complete game with story and boss fight in ten days?? x_x
The characters are charming, the pixel art sprites look great and the movement is fluid and fun.

The only nitpicks I have are:
-The enemies are a bit bullet spongy, it feels weird to have to shoot a basic enemy like 10 times to kill him, and most of the time you're just waiting there while shooting, making the fight not much more interesting than if it was a one-hit-kill.
-The gameplay overall is kinda simple, jumping and dashing behind the enemies before shooting them worked 100% of the times for me. Something that switches things up was missing, I was never really that engaged during the gameplay bits, even though the movement is great and the overall look of the game gorgeous (I was very engaged during the VN parts tho^^)

But these are critcisms on a very high level, for a Game made in ten days this is really outstanding. I would love to hear more of Johnny Slick and his posse of lovers? friends? sidekicks? situationships? whatever they are, they are very entertaining!

I wish I could be as slick as Johnny Slick, the cowboy who rides a horse. The writing and character designs are phenomenal, top notch presentation (especially mustard who made me laugh out loud when he slid onscreen). I also really liked the idea of powering up based on how you conversed with your past partners, it's very unique. 

Genuinely can't find anything negative to say, this is an amazing game man and so polished too. Great job guys!

damn maybe I should hit up therapy irl and idk maybe my fire speed will go up for some reason. 6 fire speed goes hard i had to hold back to see the boss' animations

seriously this charming game has everything- fun dialog options, cool gameplay with a slick DASH, great art. 10/10. I guess I gotta play again to see flirt with horse...?

The writing is incredibly charming

the game looks great and has a lot of potential. I think making a web version could help with encouraging people to play because it's definitely worth playing

Really juicy gameplay - everything about the horse was perfection. Only constructive criticism would be that i'd like a way to skip through some of the dialogue a bit faster so that i could speedrun a replay and save up enough to see what that last horse option would've led to...

Wow, really satisfying visual and sound design. Love it.

First run and I'm being insulted by a horse. 10/10  would listen to the horse song again. (It's replayed 10 times at this point)
