How does your game represent "Slick"?
We took "Slick" to mean something that felt efficient or effortless in execution.

As such, your player is an alchemist that can make potions out of just about anything he can find. A rock becomes an explosion, glass becomes an invisibility potion, a chair becomes a potion that forces you to sit, etc.

We felt that it'd feel slick to run through a castle while concocting strange potions to aid you in your quest.

That was cool. The other commenters are right on a tutorial lol. I had fun exploring what I was able to.

what the others have said, a tutorial would've made a big difference for many. i love the characters. reminds me of don't starve. oh and regarding the tutorial, you could write one on the itch page ;)

Interesting idea, I think a tutorial would've been very helpful, but once I figured it out, I had fun usign teh different potions!

Glad you had fun! A tutorial would definitely have been helpful to add

Super cool idea, I think having some more information presented to the player would be nice (eg: If there's a potion in the cauldron or not). I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, but after using a few potions it seemed to stop working properly for me. Picking up the chair also seemed to break something as I wasn't able to move after doing that.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the suggestions!

The gameplay is hard to grasp but the idea is very cool, a small tutorial would've helped a ton.
The art is also quite charming, good job!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, a tutorial would definitely be helpful

Wish i would have read you reply early to know that you inherite the potion effects that are in your cauldron, I was stook on that first jump spamming the potion at everything.
Once i understood though, its a fun game, interesting concept that can def be expanded upon.

Developer

Glad you were able to have fun and figure it out eventually! I'll make sure to put more effort into making gameplay understandable in the future!

throwing a potion at a guy to make him sit in a chair was funny lmao

Developer

hell yeah

had a little bit of a hard time figuring out the gameplay, but liked the vibes and the concept once I got more into it:)

Developer

Yeah, I'll have to work on making gameplay more understandable in the future. Thank you for liking it regardless of that! Artist put great work into it!

Pretty interesting concept for a game! Love the cute hand drawn art style

I could definitely see some room for expansion, maybe with inventories/potion crafting to be able to steal even more things from the castle

Developer

Thank you! The original plan was to even be able to pick up enemies to make potions out of, but we ran out of time. Would definitely love to expand on this in the future!

The art is pretty cool, might be a user error kinda thing I had a hard time figuring out the potions but still neat

Developer

No user error, I also realized once I submitted that it was kinda hard to figure out!

The idea is that when you put something into the cauldron (by right-clicking) you gain the effects of the potion made by the ingredient you put in (Example: Herbs make speed potions). While it's in the cauldron, the effect is applied to you, but you can take the potion out of the cauldron to use it on enemies!
