How does your game represent "Slick"?
You can change your form into the slickest being alive, building momentum and not loosing speed. Plus what's more slick than adaptive music that goes with your speed!

for me personally I would have preferred  the grapple to be Hold instead of toggle. but that's just a nitpick. this was a slick game nonetheless! nice work!

Games with a grapple are always amazing. Everything felt very fluid and precise.

This is fun!  as a fellow grapple hook maker i give this game 11/10

This deserves a lot more attention!

Funny, my wife once "pitched"  a game idea to me years back, which had the exact same mechanics. Glad to see it brought to life :D

Movement felt awesome and the music is actually adaptive, holy!

Awesome entry, you did a great job!

That was just plain sick. Level 2 with that little curve/swing was very smooth and had that level start with a great momentum right away.

I love the dynamic, kickass music great job there. I was starting to get the hand of the controls by the end of my playtime, but I do think the game might benefit from one less control, at least to start with. I personally think it might be fine with the run set to always-on, although I'm sure there are some movement nuances that would be impossible. Overall good job! :)

It took me a minute to get the muscle memory working to switch into slick mode but once I did I had a lot of fun building up momentum! It's really cool as well how the music fades in the faster you go. Cool game!

This one is actually about slickness and style, you are awesome!

Fun idea, although the control scheme was pretty difficult for me to handle. I agree with one of the earlier commenters, I would love to try a version of this that focuses only on the slime mode without having to toggle from a normal mode.

I really enjoyed learning to switch back and forth between slick and non-slick for their unique tools! Very fun gameplay loop!

fun game and especially nice music

now das slick

Submitted(+1)

it's pretty fun and hard and as everyone  else said music is🔥

Submitted(+1)

I thought this was  hard but also pretty slick. As others have said, the grapple and adaptive music are great.

Love the adaptive music to match the game! The grappling reminds me a bit of Speedrunners! I found it tricky to switch between modes while going fast - I just want to be slick the whole time!

Lots of fun in here. The idea of toggling between two functionally different characters in a platformer is super fun. Good job on the game :D

Music is insanely good, and the adaptive music implementation is sick. I just wish I was better at the game so I could hear the crazier music.

Developer (1 edit)

If you press pause while going fast or trigger the game over the music doesn't go back down :)

We also added the OST in the description if you would like to give that a listen!

Controls are tricky at first, but once u accept that, the game feels great when approaching top speed and has an addictive aspect of trying to lower ur time. also music lowkey banger

The controls were quite difficult to get used to, but once you get the speed going it gets very very slick
