I may have been doing something wrong but the only item that worked for me was the randomised roll. I tried to spawn the mini boss and craft a heart (with an ability equipped) but alas, I couldn't make it happen. But what I could manage to play was fun, maybe some more/faster spawns too. Gotta give a shout out to the music as well love me some chiptune

I see the vision. The game is a bit of a grind with a lot of meandering, and I think there are a couple of bugs that mess with progression (I couldn't spawn minibosses), but keep at it! There's a decent foundation here.

nice! i liked the random level generation and the music was fun. i think it would have been a lot more charming without the AI generated splash screen. AI generated imagery is inherently off-putting and we weren't supposed to use it for this jam. but i think you laid down a fun foundation for your game! the reason it feels a little grindy is because the combat was just so easy, and you need to do so much of it in order to get the items. i wanted to see what the garbage king was but the price of 100 scrap just seemed way too steep. but i did have fun with it, so you did a good job. thanks for making it!

I really don't get all the negative comments here. I played the game (and it downloaded just fine for me) and I found it rather endearing. Sure it was a bit on easier side, or had some issues here and there, but it's a game jam. The games are SUPPOSED to be buggy or issue ridden, lest the game you submitted was not created in 7-8 days and you cheated.
This was a nice concept and I'm proud of you for it. There are some issues but nothing that can't be ironed out in one 3-hour troubleshooting session. I shall rate you solely on the potential this game has, as opposed to how it performs. Cheers, mate 🍻

I had to give this a low review. The 'slickness' is just that enemies drop a slick patch. You don't need to step in it ever. And it's just a grind. Sitting between 3 spawns killing enemies over and over again until you have enough scrap to go randomly roll a powerup. I got the same powerup twice in a row, and I have no idea what it did both times. Couple that with the fact that I couldn't get the minibosses to spawn meant I had a bad experience overall.
Thanks for the feedback in hindsight a lot of decisions I made were kinda dumb looking back. I wish I could change certain things to make the experience better but I cant until after the game jam. Im sorry that you had a bad experience I hope in the future as I improve you could give another one of my games a try. Nevertheless thank you for taking the time to download the game.
