Cool game! The concept is unique and I liked the game a lot!

However sometimes I felt like I died too quick/wasn't sure how I lost. But that only bothered me since I really liked it :) Congratz on the game, I'll be looking forward to a polished version!

Thank you!!

I was a little confused with the mechanics at first, but once I got the hang of it, it’s really satisfying!

As others said, a directional indicator would be good, along with some music would be great, but honestly, I was too focused on ricocheting and not dying xD.

I thought this was a really creative way of ricochet. I would never have thought of using yourself as the ricochet!

Thank you!! Glad you liked it. I definitely could have done a little better onboarding in the itchio description.

I was a bit confused at first about how to fire the bullet. A directional indicator would have been helpful for aiming. I'm assuming the sudden movement after firing was kickback, but it would have been nice for it to be actual movement rather than jumping positions

Developer

Yeah I feel you, both of these things bothered me too and I'm hoping to improve it in the post-jam version. Thanks!

Good idea for the jam and I was going to do this kinda thing at one point also.(Great minds and all that)

Sounds are fun and looks good.

I find the text flashing up just gets in the way and too much is going on at the same time on the screen. This is likely a me issue tho as my eyes are not great but i think the background could of been a bit less in ya face.

is the player teleporting to the mouse after you shoot intentional?

Great game tho and great job.

Developer

Admittedly the text flashing was also a limitation of the jam time... I wanted to separate the waves more and have an end-of-wave screen but ofc didn't have enough time. It's something I'm improving in the post-jam remaster. Thanks!

Well its still a great effort in the time you had.

You got the core loop down and that's the main thing right.

End of wave screen is a cool idea.

Was the player teleporting to the mouse after you shoot intentional?

Developer

Nah, another bit of polish I never got around to lol

It looks kind of cool but would be nicer if it was smoother, a knockback from the bullet effect etc

So more of a tween to position I guess would be cool.

220 highscore

not sure if it was intentional but i loved the impact of drag n drop shooting
awesome idea of retrieving the bullet too

Developer

Thanks!! It wasn't exactly, more just me not having time to polish it but yeah, it does feel good lol
