The fish is a speaker, who plays music with a speaker to convince fish to follow , and then he sells them :)

Good first game my friend
Here's some tips:
-Make the game bigger or able to expand ( feels very small in the browser)
- Game loop is good, I fish and kill sharks but maybe I'm in mortal danger
- Playing with the character speed makes the game funnier
