With some slick moves and a lot of pizza, this game is as slick as a greasy fast food restaurant.

There is insane amount of polish and creativity here! I want a full version of this on steam asap!

Developer

Thank you, that would be a big commitment though...

I seriously can't believe this was made in a week! The art is insanely polished and the mechanics are super fluid. I would genuinely love to play a full version of this. Super great work!

Developer

I can't believe we made it either, tbh Thank you!

You guys put so much personality and style into this, it's nutty. I don't know if 80s-90s was an intentional vibe, or maybe like Ninja Turtles for the music, but I'm really feeling it.

Developer(+1)

Funnily enough, originally you were supposed to deliver pizza to the TMNT in the sewer levels, but we swapped them out for the aliens you see in the other levels. Glad to know the TMNT vibes are still in there somewhere.

this is such a beautiful, creative, clever and well made game. so much so that i forgot i was playing a jam game. amazed.

Developer(+1)

No way you participated in the jam too? Def checking out your entry tomorrow lol

beautiful presentation! It's funny that us mango username people gravitated towards the skating game! The artwork is sublime, and the music really ties it together!

Developer(+1)

Funnily enough, it was actually Poke who came up with the skater idea! Thanks for playing, been meaning to get around to your game after I saw it in the discord last night.

The spinning and bouncing mechanics are really clean, and the blocks that switch based on what you're doing with an item reminded me of a lot of mario maker levels. Throwing bombs into the mix was awesome. I think the amount of inputs I was doing with the items was a bit overwhelming at first, but I gradually got used to it. Great stuff!

I wish I could give this 6 stars for theme. Great art, great music, amazing UI, and really good game design too - I like that held items are simultaneously a speed boost, a double jump, and a weapon. Also you can literally ball in this game.

Developer

Thanks for playing ! I'm especially glad you liked the UI haha ;)

Movement is very fun and I love the music!

The amount of polish here is insane! Y'all NAILED the SNES era gameplay and vibes! The difficulty felt authentically wicked and precision was really well-rewarded. I can't get over how good the UI and pixel art is!

Developer(+1)

thanks a lot! our UI guy will be VERY happy you said that !

Fantastic game, hope this wins the jam!

amazing work! i loved how much all the assets really represented the slick theme! one of my favorite games to see out of this jam - everything went fluid and great to play - i did feel like there was a lot of opportunities to get soft-locked in the first level which made it a bit harder to get through, but i could see there were spikes in place so you could easily restart if that happend, so good design there! super slick idea and great execution on it, good job to the team!

Really really fun! Some of the later levels started to get harder due to not being clear (it took me a long time to figure out you could pick up fans), but overall super cool, even down to the music and menu.

Super slick!

Developer(+1)

HAHA thanks so much this made my day!! I did the UI pages, HUD, and camera controls, so I was joking I did all the stuff that no one is going to care about. Glad you liked the menu enough to mention it! I'm sorry the later levels were confusing but glad you were able to have a good experience overall anyways ;) I also agree our musicians did a great job

Unbelievably radical game we got here

I only dream of being as slick as Tony Maloney

Bro made a whole ass sonic game in a week! great job, I did get softlocked though, lol.

Developer

Thanks for playing ! was it in the spin blocks on the tutorial? or on the first sewer level before the spinning/bomb section? Those are the two that I know about so far. It's a bandaid fix but you can always back out to the main menu and restart the level-- but I was in charge of the pause menu among other UI related things and I realized post launch it would have been good to add a restart to last checkpoint button :(

Submitted(+1)

During the second part of the spin the blocks tutorial lol, I saw someone already sent a screenshot so I know you guys got it covered! Once again awesome job. Best game I've played this jam.

Love the slickness! The controller is definitely the way to play through this one
