How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
The player travels through a submerged city using sonar(I think that's basically an underwater speaker).

It's a bit difficult to figure out how to play, but overall it's a good game. The well-developed lore also deserves special mention. Well done, great job.
My immediate thought was this is a great concept for a game, really cool! I had an issue with controlling it and I think I got stuck and couldn't rotate anymore. With a bit more work this is a really solid concept and I'd love to see it explored further! Also, love the lore, I'm a deadset sucker for that kind of storytelling!
Thanks for playing! I definitely messed up a bit with the instructions and collision handling. Right now if the submarine is thrusting into a wall, it will turn to face the wall so its harder to get it out. The submarine has to stop thrusting first before turning away from the wall. Sorry about that!
Concept is interesting but I strugle with the amount of clicking and mouse work it needs
-The clear resets the rotation instead of just cleaning the scans
-Then the second time I need to thrust the rotation no longer works
Some times 90º takes 4 clicks and some times it takes more
Keep working on it, there is something fun about it
Yeah, I should've done better on the instructions and I realized mid-way that the repeated clicking isn't good, so I made an auto-scan feature but it might have been too little too late.
The clear only clears the screen. The submarine on the radar doesn't rotate. If the submarine is thrusting into a wall, rotation doesn't work. Rotating and thrusting are toggle buttons, not presses. But yeah I should have written clearer instructions and playtested more.
Thanks for playing!
well done for making the game! it looks interesting with a cool lore but i couldn't figure out how to play, i couldn't move
Yeah, the instructions are a bit obtuse I admit. I should've done better there. The submarine's controls are toggles.
Great idea! It's the perfect game for enthusiasts, ideal for jamming. I really liked the concept of not being able to see anything. Well done!
auto-scanner is a life changer
It feels very immersive tbh, almost like operating an actual submarine.
It was pretty intuitive to pick up and understand what the goal was, I pretty much instantly knew what I had to do and was hooked, well done!
If it had a CRT shader or something similar it would have completed the vibe for sure!
I unfortunately couldn't make the game work, but I know this is a banger. Pretty interesting lore, I was invested.
Thanks for trying to play it! I don't know if you're still interested, but the submarine controls are toggles, not tap buttons.
I'm still interested! I could play the game properly after reading some comments and realised I was stuck on a wall. Wow! This game is really great! I knew it! When I got to the second log the game bugged and everything was updating automatically, so I didn't need to stop, scan, clear and rotate anymore and could move freely (like a normal top-down game) but it made me realise that the way you designed it is essential. Re-rated. Great game!
Thank you so much! Also, the second journal gives you an auto-scan. I thought people might get tired of constantly spamming scan.
Ohh! Thought it was a bug! Clever idea!
The game seems pretty interesting, but I can't figure out how to play? I keep trying to rotate and thrust but I keep bumping into walls, is there something I'm missing or do I have a skill issue?
No yeah, I think I made the game too obtuse and a bit too weird. I used rigidbody2d for the sub which instantly rotates it into the wall on collision. So you just have to rotate the sub to face away from the wall before thrusting again. Definitely something I can learn from in the future.
I really really like this game!! I had an absolute blast playing it and I really liked all the little logs and tidbits of lore added to the game :D The scanner was super neat and I liked using it at the beginning a lot.
