My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. 5/5

Excellent game flow and song choice. Others have noted that the art for an item might not match the characteristic that describes it at times, which is fine! Resolving that critique would take this game up a whole nother level. Bravo!

jolly good show 😄 very polished if I do say so myself

Jolly good fun, ol' chap!

I say, ol' chap! Salutations and 1000 appreciations for playing my game! :D

Your art is so beautiful!! Great game :) as other players, I have to say that I didn't knew what a wooden utensil was, and I was too proud to look it up, but eventually i got some puzzles right. These sorting games are so relaxing :)

Developer

I'm so happy folks liked the art!  I *literally* am just doodling in Adobe Fresco on my iPad, I'm no artist...but hearing the feedback gives me confidence that I could do a full game on my own.

Yeah the Wooden/Bent/Gold-Plated/Shiny/etc was really just to give the utensils extra data for the puzzles....my brain never realized folks would try to visually connect those to the actual utensils :D  Game Jams, amirite? :D

Awesome entry with well designed puzzles! Actually oddly similar to my teams entry with the rules based placement, but with a wildly different theme.

Developer

oh ya? which one was your team's submission? I'll make sure I play it!

oh I just realize it doesn’t show - I worked on one called Monsorter

Super fun game!!! Very much reminded me of 'Is this seat taken?'

Developer

Oh yaaa, I love that game! I can definitely see the comparisons.  Thanks for checking out my game!

I tried to give every game I rate some helpful feedback ..

but this? The music, the art, the SFX, and the concept—all of them are tied together perfectly !! .

at first I didn't understand what wooden utensil meant .. but I don't care  , and I have nothing to say but 'Excellent travail '  sir !!

(I don't know French, but I think that's how it's pronounced)

Wow, what a compliment!  Thank you very much for trying my game and giving it such high praise!

Really fun game. Very nice music and drawings, it gets you in to mood. My only negative commment is when placing wrong item it drops to slot back is annoying to me.

Thanks for checking out my game!  I really wanted to add the ability to swap utensils between your hand and the table, but the way I coded the game I just couldn't figure it out in time.  As a matter of fact, I've started a new Godot test project this week just to see if I can figure out how to do it!

very well done - little game. loved it.

have to admit, turned off the timed mode straight away.
My first reaction to the "wooden" utensils was - what wooden utensil, they are all the same color :D ! Figured out eventually, but would have been cool to have a visual difference

Developer

it's great feedback, thanks for playing!

I really liked this, I enjoy logic puzzles alot. I'll admit though, the timed mode was pretty frustrating, I definitely had an easier time 'digesting' all the information with the timer turned off. I liked it though, the last one was quite challenging, and the theming is really nice. I also liked all the sounds, both music and sound effects were great

Developer

haha yeah, I added a "no timed mode" option at the last minute because I realized some of these puzzles got pretty tough! :D

Thanks for checking out my game!

Great game! I like how you used the idea of organizing a table here, I loved this concept. I just feel some orders were correct in my playthroughs and they didn't count... can't say exactly which ones.
Yet, I had a lot of fun, amazing work :D

Developer

If you happen to catch one, please let me know!  The hints (and utensil names) are designed to have a unique solution per level...but you never know! I'm a smooth brain and game jams are hectic :D

Thanks for checking it out!

Really creative idea. The art style is perfect for it.

Developer

Really appreciate you trying out my game, thanks a bunch for the kind words!

Such a simple idea with great execution! It felt like I was playing a dinner table mini-game in Blue Prince, you should be really proud of this was a lot of fun to play.

Thanks guys!  This is my 2nd game jam, and I do feel good about what I made!  Had a plan, stuck to the small scope, and even had time for a bit of polish.  Thanks for checking out my game!
