How does your game represent "Slick"?
The player character and the boss both move in a very smooth and almost slippery manner, the game also features some surprising moments when (for example) the boss starts using some cool new attacks.

Extremely fun and the music is BUMPIN
Really amazing. The vibes with the music and visual design are immaculate and the attack patterns are just perfect!. I love the multi-phase fight, and everything about the player movement feels just right, great work all round.
YO!!!
this is absolutely incredible!!!!!
Hard to give this anything less than a perfect score. Well done, and honestly this is a showcase in how important music is in a game.
Got it first try with one health left, probably the most adrenaline I've had in my veins for the last few weeks, great game!
Well done, a win is a win.
This is going to be a perfect rating from me. I loved the adaptive music most of all.
So so so so slick. Great feeling. The only thing to mention is maybe some visual feedback when hitting the boss and a smoother transition between focusing on the player and zooming out. Impressive!
Yeah, I was thinking of having a little fade to black when going into the final part but I did not quite have the time to implement that well.
Excellent entry! Really well made mechanics and the way you did the phases was good. I felt like an undertale boss with all that determination the orb had at the end haha
Great entry man! love them arcades :)
Incredible entry, I really liked the visual style and how you created some very impressive visuals with a limited palette and set of shapes. The attacks also felt unique and varied despite this. I had a lot of fun playing through and almost made it on my first try. Well done!
Very cool!
not bad at all! the sounds came together well and the movement was indeed slick. the adaptive music was really cool too.
i do think that it could benefit from a little more tangible feedback. (like when you hit the boss, it should be more obvious that you hit him... like, with a louder sound effect or something, or maybe with a traditional hp bar instead of a number in the corner.) i only say this because for a little while i was unsure if my bullets were doing anything.
I do agree that some more feedback on hitting the boss would have been nice, the boss health being a number was kind of intentional so that player wouldn't think they had already beaten the boss before the final phase.
This is amazing.
An extremely well polished and fun boss encounter. It feels like a bite of a full game, where everything was as well tuned and thought through as you’d expect from a complete experience. I will be taking notes.
playing this I just wished there was more of it. 10/10 boss battle 💪
Good music, good sfx.
The drum and base soundtrack was a great choice, it sets the vibe perfectly for this game. I felt like you also got the difficulty just right; not too hard, but also not so easy that it felt like I could ignore the mechanics. The aesthetic is simple but also very polished. Super fun, I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for playing! NCS has a lot of great songs just like these.
God damn this is good
CMYK is... so peak.
If I had to describe this game in one word I'd say "classy." Everything here is intentional and beautiful. When round two started, I (out loud) said "shut up, that's so good." The game held me in a trance until it was over, and I ended the game with only one life left. I don't even like bullet hells!
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed.
This is so well executed. Also it made me realise an "open world bullet game" would be super cool. Everything here is polished and fun. Good job! :D
