well made all around. the minimalist look fits well. personally did not enjoy the movement as much, the blue character was often quite blurry.

have you considered a more chaotic style of slingshot to push & bump or a more calmer where you tip and roll the boxes help ( might not even need the blue character, a mouse/touch gesture can do the trick)

I really the shadows and the pure aesthetic. Great work!

Smooth and fun game overall. I really loved the polished feeling in a short time.

The button that the starts the belt - cinema.

Thank you!

Super smooth and reactive physics! Really made the minimalism work in a super polished aesthetic. Wish that the little player rectangle could do more tricks or more complex movement, but besides that, it's overall a well made game.

Thanks for your ideas! :)

That's just fun! I would call it polished minimalism.

One of my favorites from the jam

Glad you enjoy it! :)

I like the minimal style. Maybe been able to grab packages could improved the experience. Good job!

Thank you for the feedback! :)

Really enjoyed this, it's strangely relaxing. I love the physics and simple art style. I reckon this would make a great incremental game on steam!

Developer

Thanks!

Another great physics based game in this jam, i love it! The aesthetic is so sleek and the gameplay is very satisfying. Simple and polished just like a good jam game should be.

Developer

Thanks, appreciate it! :)

Jogo bem polido e gostoso de jogar, porém repetitivo.

Thanks! :)

The fact that I hate isometric movement doesn't really help. Maybe if the controller is supported, I might be able to actually appreciate the fun graphics.

Developer

Thanks for your honest feedback! Glad you at least liked the graphics

This is a great "get angry at the game" game, and I mean that in the best way possible.  :D

It's *just* frustrating enough to move a square box with a square dude that just happens to not be able to walk in a straight line...I love it, you really nailed the gameplay.  Well done!

Developer

Haha, thank you! :D

Wow this is great, this is your first game jam entry? I think you might have something quite special here!

The graphics are beautiful, the concept is clear, and it's very satisfying to play. I especially love the little button to start the conveyor belt, it means you have time to familiarize yourself with the controls and the environment before the game starts, and it's something you happen across while exploring. It's subtle but feels more natural than some kind of 'press space to start game' that I would have done lol

  • At first, I assumed that the packages had to go in the hole based on the number of stripes the packages had - i.e. 1 stripe = hole 1, two stripes = hole 2 etc. I think this is because the holes are numbered, and they're numbered with roman numerals which look like stripes. And with only a few parcels for reference, there was no comparison to notice the different band colors until later.
  • Seeing as how important direction is in this game, I think mouse controls would have been better than WASD as it's quite difficult to position yourself right, especially as the game is isometric which rotates the angles by 45 degrees
  • As you start getting more packages, I think some kind of 'kick' function would be helpful to knock packages that are stuck on top of each other.

You know, if you removed the timer and adjusted the concept to be more of an incremental game I think this would be a lot more fun. The timer makes the game feel rushed to play, compared with a zen sorting game that slowly gets more chaotic, which I think would be more enjoyable.

Anyway good luck, I really enjoyed this one.
