How does your game represent "Slick"?
When we first saw the prompt, we wondered what was truly slick in games. Is it an oil spill? A car driving game? We settled on trying to create some fluid movements and quick combos, which we feel embody the essence of slickness. Despite some bugs with the movement, we found that this ended up pretty damn slick.

Super stylish! It was addictive chaining moves together to chain stomp the goombas. Awesome animations on the knight. Thanks for the game, great work!

Cool aesthetics here! Also, loved the movement mechanics and time trial system! Very fun to play.

Quite the nice game! Moving felt pretty nice especially when you get in the zone and start chaining all the moves together!

The leaderboard based on dev times is a cool idea, got me playing more than expected just to get those golds :)

The design caught my eye right away. The menus are very zoomed-in and hitboxes seem a bit off. Otherwise, I thought this was a solid entry. The presentation is nice and I love the idea of chaining specific movements in order to make it past obstacles. Completing the combos was satisfying. Nice work!

Interesting controls using comebat movement as you only source of movement. I like the animations too!

The concept of the player's movements being tied down to specific actions, rather than traditional movement inputs, is quite interesting. The animations for the knight were also super slick!

Tried for gold on all the levels, but those damn ogres are slick bastards!
Nice game!

Oh man nice clear! Thank you for playing!

Pretty fun game. It has a good tutorial that introduces the mechanics well to the players. The graphics could do with a little work to gel everything together a little more. Fun play for sure though!

Super fun chaining together moves! Music was really upbeat and just overall a super slick title. Nice job! :)

Very slick movement indeed! It took me a while to get to grips with the timing and the combos but the attack style movement mechanic is very interesting and fun. Good job!

A really creative take on time trial platforming! The idea of constraining player movement to such a concise set of moves is really great!

Once the controls clicked the game felt pretty solid! When I was able to pull off all the inputs in sequence and got a huge burst of speed it was very satisfying!

As other have said, controls feel a bit odd, and i never quite got a full grasp of them. i think perhaps the player should be a bit smaller, or maybe the screen a bit wider, that way i had i better idea of where i was supposed to go in a level. The highs are high though, and when it clicks and you gain a lot of speed and hit the combo just right it feels amazing.  Great concept!

This one is really interesting. I think the controls are a little hard to grasp, but I was figuring it out I think. I like the concept though. Well done!

I think I can not see the whole screen. I could not play the whole thing, sorry.

Developer

Sorry for the confusion! We designed our game around fullscreen, and we couldn't figure out how to get it to play well in the windowed version.

Submitted

I could not get to fullscreen. I think it was also related to the resolution

Developer

I have no idea why that would be tbh! We'll take a look and see if we can get that fixed.

Despite some rough visuals, the gamplay is super original and fun, I'd love to see it more fleshed out

I kinda see the vision of what you were trying to do cause once it clicks it is fun, but it needs some better visual feedback, like squish and squash, maybe changing some of the gamefeel, changing the sliperiness when you dash, etc (not much, just a little).

Interesting idea. I like the idea of a controlled runner. Controls need a little tuning though, but the music was great.

Really Slick idea! I didn't quite get the hang of gaining airtime, which meant I got stuck pretty quick, but everything about the presentation is top notch!
