Really impressive submission!

Everything was done very well.. the visuals are great, the writing really pulled me in, and the game is quite fun to top it off.

Visual direction is really nice, and enjoyed the surprise final level. A little tuning would make the combat system very interesting - I found I could pretty easily get by using the same move over and over, and I would have been more likely to use more strategy. I had a good time playing!

Great style and amazing psychedelic vibes. Good job!

Visuals are really cool! I got friendzoned and thought that nothing else would happen but actually beat to rip (or a reap to beat)
On a constructive note, I got a bit confused by the minimum to reach for each move and ended up just riffing the same one

Love the crazy visuals and interesting character designs, nice to see Rhythm games in the Jam

Rhythm games are the best! I loved the patterns on the reaper at the end, super satisfying. Great music, and adding enemies to the lanes is a great idea. Perfect score from me, loved the art during dialog.

Yayyyy rhythm game! It was fun and I played it in browser, still won, didn’t really notice any problems. I loved that the final stage is kind of off-map, hidden, with a special boss. But it was a bit strange that the previous level was far harder than the final one.

I loved the music, the looks, the feels. Did you write music yourself? Cool game!

The art in this game is insanely good. Probably the best looking game I have played in this jam so far. Excellent work!

Loved how you managed to merge a disco dancing game with the visual novel style! Great character art!

Love the art style here along with the music! The characters were surprisingly endearing for the little time we get to spend with them! Great work!

The art style for this game kicks ass man, super creative and the short but sweet story is a great touch. Very nitpicky, but with all that flare I would love to see something interesting with the health bars, the secret final boss was awesome as well. Pretty easy to fight single enemies though, maybe having them move lanes would help that.

I was hoping to see some rhythm games, even if ours wasn't!  This was a treat, great visuals and the story actually got me engaged :)

I love rhythm games, and I really wasn’t expecting to find one this good in this game jam. The art is gorgeous, there’s an actual story with characters (in a game jam!), the music is good, and there’s a real artistic vision here. It’s a little buggy and a little rough around the edges, but I’ll take that any day if I get to experience something like this in return. Bravo!

Love adagio’s design as pixel art, I mean in general all the art is amazing! okay wow wasn’t expecting to get hit with an actually deep story, honestly the ending was sweet in a melancholic sort of way! great game with great vibes!

Super interesting art style on this one! Found the turn based combat system super interesting with how you have to hit a certain % of notes. It's a bit too easy to just spam all the directions and win that way, and I think the 2nd level was by far the hardest. The 4th level was over in 1 turn since it spams so many notes at you during their turn, but it's only from 1 location so it's not disorienting enough.

I think the biggest flaw is the writing (which you've stated) and then the lack of balancing on the music, one song is SUPER loud and the other SUPER quiet. Just make sure to balance stuff out more evenly at least. For writing, it just feels like a lot of the writing sounds kind of forced and not really like something someone would say in an actual conversation. Just keep writing and you'll get better at it! <3

Super well done though, def one of my favourite games so far in terms of visual identity
