Summarize your game!
Mechanics are mouse based.
Story is:
Earth has advanced far enough to discover intergalactic travel, even so far as making contact with two alien species. The Biomorphia are a race of biological fauna, even more varied and colourful than the species found on Earth. The Feros are a planet of droids, far more stern and cold then Biomorphia and as a result, these two planets are not fond of one another.
Having only recently made contact with these factions, many of their residents are keen to travel to Earth. A spaceport was hastily constructed and you were put in charge as the sole arbiter of who travels in and out. Earth’s population is watching you closely as not everyone is so trusting about our new alien visitors. In Spaceport, you must balance the views of Earth’s population, its economy and its military as well as balancing diplomatic relations between our two new neighbours. After all, tensions are high and no one wants a war to break out: the world is watching you.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
Spaceport fits the theme of "the world is watching you" due to the fact that every action the employee takes is judged by the people of his own world, Earth, and the other two known worlds: Biomorphia and Feros.
Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
No
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Game ends after 10 in game days.

Character art and project panel art is coming up as AI Generated across multiple scans and a manual review from our art team. This submission has been disqualified as a result. The rules were very explicit about not including AI-Generated Content.
Hello,
We'd obviously like to challenge this decision. If a moderator/admin could DM me with what they'd like to see to help overturn the disqualification, that would be great.

This game was so fun to play, personally. The art was really well done. Loved the mini games. (user error made me terrible at the joystick. lol). I can see this game as a fully fleshed out game for sale on whatever platform you want, honestly. Ya'll have all the essential elements down and can add whatever you want and get silly with it. As a personal preference, I loved the humour in the news headlines and it would be cool to see that personality sprinkled more throughout other parts of the game. Keep up the good work!
I'm really glad you had fun, and thank you so much for the kind words!
Great little work sim! The art was good and the mini games broke things up nicely (though the crane game bugged out for me once and wouldn't drop the box). I understand the generic people not having a huge impact, but I would have liked to see the named/special people having a bigger impact in the story. For example, I was doing the mini game and didn't get to one of the ambassadors in time, but nothing about that showed up in the news story at the end of day (though I did take a big hit to relations). I didn't even realize I had missed the ambassador till I remembered that I didn't see them that day. I still got the best ending I think (the heart shaped world with mixed bio/mech elements), so it wasn't too difficult. All in all, great job!
Thanks for the feedback!
We sadly didn't have time to add something for when you didn't approve/reject a special alien. If we had more time, doing more with that and the TV notifications would've been high up on things I would've like to expand a bit on.
That bug is new, it only happened once?
I appreciate taking the time to play our game!
The lack of time is totally understandable! Just something to keep in mind if you expanded on the game later.
As for the crane bug, yes, it only happened once. It was during one of the later levels, I put the first crate down on the pad and went to get the other, but after placing the other on the pad, the minigame didn't complete. I figured it was because I didn't place the first crate on the pad well enough, so I picked up the first crate again and tried to put it in a better spot on the pad. The arm went down, but the crate didn't move with it, so it never let me place it back on the pad. Eventually I tried putting it down on a different spot away from the pad, which worked, and the minigame completed when I placed it on the floor. Hope this helps, and let me know if you need more info!
The art here was really solid, but I didn't feel much impact to my decision one way or another (outside of the death beam). I pretty much just spam clicked accept and meters just kinda moved slightly, I think this sort of game is extremely ambitious for a game jam since it would really take a lot to create a strong generation system or to hand craft "levels" of people you encounter. Either way nice submission!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Balance is really difficult, so definitely something that we can work more on after the jam.
Hey, I felt you really hit the brief with being watched, it felt super on theme. The tutorial was spot on, I understood how to play with very little friction. You've "selected" the art assets really well, usually that kind of thing is quite difficult to get right, but everything feels cohesive and not like it's from a bunch of different asset packs. Kudos!
Thanks for the feedback!
Our artist really went hard on the assets for this project.
Military got big mad haha. Great art style and fun game! nice job!
Thanks! Glad you had fun :)
Nice game! The art is really cool and I loved the special guests :) I vaporized an innocent and war was declared, just another day at work ^^
Thanks for trying it out! Our artist did a great job with the sprites, so it makes me happy to hear you liked it :)
