How does your game represent "Slick"?
The mechanic for deflecting enemy bullets off the walls and dashing through danger feels pretty slick! I also added plenty of audio and visual effects to beef up the feeling of nailing a trickshot on multiple enemies.

This game is insanely polished. The level progression was really well done and I really liked the sounds of the bullets being fired, especially the ones that fire multiple in a pattern. Parrying the bullets to slickochet and hit multiple things at once was very satisfying.

Getting to the boss was really cool! I thought the boss was easier than some of the levels getting there but if this is an introduction to a game with many more levels to come (if you decide to work on it post-jam), I hope there are some really difficult rooms/bosses!

Great polish, sounds, and appearance. I found the parry mechanics to be interesting, but the difficulty of learning the new system (parry + aim + parry cooldown) and the unforgiving "restart from the beginning" game over state caused me to bounce early and see less of the game than I would have had I restarted in my current room.

While the difficulty curve was a bit steep for me, I can’t let that overshadow the rest of the game. Really smooth mechanics, every death fault like my fault rather than the game’s (good thing lol). Very fun little package, hyper-slick!

Lotta fun, but gets difficult quickly. The screen effects look great and make multi-hits very satisfying

Very fun and a very slick presentation. Having to use the bullets of the enemies was a cool unique idea! Love the polish on this game!

Deflecting enemy bullets to fight back is a lot of fun. The objects might be slightly small, but the screen is clear and easy to read, which makes it very playable. Really enjoyed it.

Cool game, smart aesthetic choice, probably made the assets very cheat to produce while also being very clean and retro.

If I was to redesign an aspect of the game or make any change, i would remove the dash and add some subtle movement on the deflect itself. It is cool and reminds me a little of the ori projectile redirection mechanic. Maybe it could do a little dash and this dash is the area considered for the deflect, or the deflect itself could add momentum to the player so i have to be careful on my positioning after a deflect. The dash I think only added noise and didn't reinforce the feeling of slickness the deflect was going for.

Also, I feel like the projectile bouncing off walls could be better explored. Maybe add enemies that don't shoot pink bullets and are kinda hidden behind a wall, so you have to deflect another any and bounce it on a wall to defeat the hiding one. Or maybe add some enemies that shoot bouncing projectiles as well, so you have to reflect back with a bounce.

Great entry, good job!

Really love the style and effects, gameplay is also fun too. My game also has reflecting projectiles, but it feels so much better in this game, definitely something for me to take notes on.

Nice! Love the style, and the structure reminds me of the tanks minigame from Wii Play, oddly enough. Had a lot of fun timing deflects.

The dash feels so good!  and the aesthetics of this are on point

This is an extremely rewarding game when you get that perfect flick! This rocks!
