After a very long and difficult period of thinking, I’ve decided to step away from Farming Simulator modding. At least from active modding.
If I will still have time and ideas might do it, but way more rare than before (I planned to make some new prefabs, but no more maps/mods/updates...).
This is one of those messages I never thought I’d have to write again. First time I quited back in FS22, when I was upset of some toxic messages and the hate I received for using some base-game asset transformed into a production without the owner's approval. I didn't know that this will create such a drama, knowing that there are stolen mods out there with no consequences. I know it was my mistake and I aknowledged it and promised to remove it, but the hate continued. Now seems the community is better, so the quiting is for other personal reasons.
Modding wasn’t just something I did in my free time — it became a part of my daily life, my routine, and honestly, a part of who I am, at least on the internet. I spent countless nights working on multifruit, fixing small details most people would never notice, redoing things again and again because I wanted them to be right. I loved it. I still love it, but I lack of time now.
Passion doesn’t stop time, and it doesn’t slow down real life. Over the past months, my priorities have changed in ways I can’t ignore. Family matters (in december I lost my job, fortunately I found another one, better paying but way less free time), new responsibilities, and this demanding job now take most of my energy. When I do have free time, I’m often forced to choose how to spend it — and that choice has become heavier every day, I would prefer relaxing than working (like playing the game for instance instead of modding it). As painful as it is to admit, I can’t keep giving modding the time and attention it deserves. And doing it halfway would feel wrong, both to myself and to this community.
There’s also the reality side that’s hard to talk about. Modding takes time, tools, and resources. Working on macOS, without proper support or efficient tools, has made everything slower and more frustrating than it should be. On top of that, the limitations of the game itself often stop ideas from becoming what I originally imagined. When time is limited, and when other projects can actually help support my life financially, I have to be honest with myself: time is money, and I can’t ignore that anymore.
What makes this decision even harder is the people. This community gathered this past year. Every message, every download, every kind comment, every donation — they mattered. A lot. Knowing that people enjoyed my work, waited for updates, and even supported me financially and emotionally is something I’ll always be grateful for. You gave meaning to all those hours spent working in silence, and I can’t thank you enough for that.
This time, I won’t delete my mods, my accounts, or anything related to my work. I don’t want to burn this bridge. I want to leave the possibility open, even if I don’t know when or if I’ll be able to return. Maybe one day I’ll have more time, better tools, or simply the space in my life to create again. At least, if the game updates to more crops, I might make the new crops I wanted when tried the double foliage idea.
Regarding asset usage: If I don’t return in the next Farming Simulator iteration, my existing assets may be converted to the new FS game, like I also gave permission now for the FS22 assets.
Although, For FS25, my crops and multifruit prefabs (and also the real orchards from any of my maps, because if I won't make a prefab) may be used only with proper credit, clearly mentioned in the modDesc and in the mod description, it is the only thing that I ask.
The YouTube channel will share the same fate, as it has always been closely tied to my modding journey. I planned to do streamings and gameplay but the time and the MacBook didn't liked to run the game and obs the same time (after all, no extra RAM was added and the m4 is only base m4 pro, others were expensive).
The Discord won't be closed, but I won't join in anymore.
This isn’t an angry goodbye. It’s not disappointment toward the community. It’s just life pulling me in another direction for now. Stepping away hurts, but pretending I can continue at the same level would hurt even more.
Thank you for everything — for the support, the patience, the trust, and for making this chapter of my life something I’ll always carry with me.
