I liked the game! It took a long time to earn the first table, though. Maybe it would have been better to start with two tables right away or speed up the process? You could say that the game only really started after the second table. Before that, it was mostly just waiting for one customer to finish eating.
The controls are kind of hard to get used to. Having to click on and off between customers and staff messed me up a lot. Especially when they got all grouped up. Game loop was fun though!
Another order up, yup, cosmic slop again! Having played Plate Up, I knew what to expect. And for such a simple game made in a short time, you did a great job with the game loop. Others have said what should be improved first, and I echo that. Great job!
Bug report: If you serve food before you select a customer, you're basically soft locked cause no customers can use the table anymore. I genuinely thought I missed something when I first played the game cause I even double checked the itch page and was gonna give a 1 star in controls until it suddenly worked on day 2, and I had to figure out why.
Anyways, interesting concept. Wished there was more feedback for when I clicked something or know which tile I clicked.
Thanks for the report. I agree things could be clearer, unfortunately I ran out of time. About putting food in the table before a customer sits… You can actually make the waiter take the food back(I guess another thing I have to make clearer), this was made on purpose, so you can use tables to storage food when you don’t know what the client is going to order(if you already bought more ovens to get more recipes).
Liked this one a lot! neat concept and could definitely see it being addicting if built out
Very nice idea, I tried but was too broke to get another table so I guess I will try again later
