Very creative premise for this game! I like how you combined all of your draws and the way you used the golf is ingenious. The art is cool and I like how the eggs and coins must be found and the staff must be used to hit them where they need to be. Excellent how the king's voice guides them throughout. A lot of interesting tidbits in this adventure! Great job!
CORPSE TALK LIVE DAY 2 Reviews
Since I didn't have time to enter this year, I can't do a traditional vote, but I can comment and take the time to go over some of the popular favorites and my own. For a first adventure, this is a good entry.
I do mean it when I say, take it back to the layout. Cut some of the fat out of the text. Study how Shadowdark DC and adventures are laid out and bring it back to everyone on itch. Then ping me if you do.

Stay F@#ckin Rotten! Keep designing! EFP
my gratitude here man!
watching you try to read it was painful enough. I got waaaaay too much shit in here.
gonna cut the map layout to a quarter of what it is and get to the good stuff earlier.
There is something in there. Just needs some layout worn. Cutting the extras.
And really getting the scope and scale in line. It's all learning. If do go back and edit it. Hit me up. More than happy to take a look.

Just by the tagline alone I'm sold. You combined all three games into your TAGLINE, that's just impressive! The rooms are a bit wordy and dense for a quick reference if GMing, but this is solid! Great work!
I'm very excited to cut this down by at least 75%!!
what a learning experience this has been
Inspiration: Uncle Scrooge (who is Scottish) and golf--the perfect combo. Add some characters from Greek myth and we're off! You've taken these three completely different games and meshed them together quite well.
Usability: Like the cherished modules of old, this isn't a "sit down and play it while you read it" kind of adventure. The room descriptions aren't super-lengthy, but they are dense with info and some of it is buried (like the three all-important ferryman's coins). This is the kind of adventure I would need to read a week ahead of time and make notes along the way so I don't get lost while running it. But it's doable. And the overall layout is great: one page for each section--including the map, so there's no flipping back and forth.
Vibes: Some great NPCs in here. MacDuque the caretaker, Par Al Ba-Tros the jovial djinni, the owlbear librarian... Lots of stuff to interact with as well. And it's a bit goofy, just like my favorite 8-bit video games of the '80s. Well done.
thanks! can I upload a revision? I was going through all the buried in-game items you (and others have mentioned) and was thinking I could make some space for an "Items" call-out box on each relevant page.
Not a big golf guy, but that cover drew me in. Great pun, very clean, and very Zelda to me. Maps all look great and everything is easy to follow and understand. Looks really fun! Never thought something inspired by Scrooge could look so cool
yes same... I was pretty "ho-hum" when I got golf and DuckTales...but hey...the mother of invention and all that.
appreciate you reading it!!
Maximum density of information, love the way the premises were implemented. Feels like a dungeon crawl and has a good layout. Content of the submission has a great story and beginning middle end arc for a group of players to navigate. Great inspiration from the 8-bit titles. Great job!
thank you for reading it!
Cool adventure + premise! Can clearly see the inspirations coming through. Usability suffers a bit because of formatting (e.g., blocks of text with minimal bolding, highlighting etc, no clear breakdown of player vs. gm facing info via formatting), relevant stat blocks not being reprinted in the adventure, random encounter info not being presented in the typical way (i.e., how often to roll for random encounters. Might have been in there, but if it was, it was buried).
I did like that mini-maps were on each relevant page and, in general, I like the maps! Cover page especially also very 8-bit, nostalgic.
Good job!
thx for the feedback!
should I add a line that this entire document is GM facing? Would that help?
re: stat blocks: if I had one more page! after the jam I will add another page of the in game items. do you think it's necessary to reprint SD stat blocks that are in the books?
No problem! No, you don't need to add a new line. Sorry - what I wrote was confusing =P
I was just saying a clear, concise overview of the adventure at the very beginning of the document might help the GM orient. Bonus points if the parts known to players at the beginning are clearly called out as well.
About reprinting stat blocks: Required? Probably not, but really useful for GMs so they don't have to have another book open, keep flipping through to find the right monster etc. There is a trade off in terms of space. A middle ground might be providing the page number for the monster in the SD books.
Regardless, best of luck!
oh that's such an EASY fix !!!!! within 8 pages tysm
