Love the mix of cell shading for the slime and not for the world, i think that is cool!

I wish the slime was dropped into the tutorial map because it just fell off a cliff during the intro.

Voice acting and the attention to details for the billboards was very well exucuted. Would love to play more, great job yall!

The game looks awesome! There's a great, comfortable style going on that's so easy to look at. I like the phases of gameplay, too, getting to realize you've gone from chased to chasing. I'm also reminded of those few RPGs where weaker enemies actively avoid the player. I think this is a bit like what those enemies feel like.

I like the cast of characters in here

What can i say its slick!

On a serious note very charming art style!

The gameplay is quite solid but does get repetitive fast (at least imo)

Other than that great entry!
(I also have a soft spot for eat thing to get bigger type games lol)

"Eat things to get bigger so you can eat more things" is a genre I have a real soft spot for, and you've done a great job implementing it here!! Having the slime leave a trail behind it rather than attacking directly is a really interesting way of interacting with enemies; the creativity is much appreciated versus just having a "Press X to Attack" type of combat system. The art style is amazing as well, both the cutscenes and the actual gameplay. With a bit more variety (perhaps the "powers" idea Aimless Studios mentioned), I could definitely see this turning into a full game. Amazing work!!

Oooh it’s a grow-big-until-you-terrorize-the-kingdom-type game…quite fun, love the music and art for both the gameplay and the cutscenes. The only snag I ran into is the first time I played, I lost early because I didn’t know there was a special ability. I never saw the tutorial prompt because I was eating food in the corner of the tutorial area and the goon hit me before I could see the wall with the special ability instructions. Pretty easy to fix though!

it’s kinda funny I was literally considering this while designing tutorial and thought “nahh aint no way people wont see that” as I put another trigger at the end of the main path to trigger enemy aggro… 😭

had to download because it didn't work on my browser but it was worth it, very funny and cute game

As soon as I got bigger when I ate the first piece of fruit I thought, "God please let me eat the bullies who punted me off a cliff", and you guys absolutely delivered.

I love games where you slowly build up your size until you can take down everything, though I felt a bit bad going after the boars, a slime's gotta do what a slime's gotta do.

The title screen was also an eye catcher, I loved the art work of your game, really cute. Leyza you joined us in a discord chat while we had streamed right? I wish you had asked us to play your game, I had a blast. (and sorry if I've gotten mixed up with someone else >.<)

Developer

thanks for playing! We originally wanted to fill the map with a bunch of items to provide an alternative to eating creatures, but didnt get around to it so ig pork’s on the menu tonight. And yeah that was me watching the stream, i think i was multitasking at the time and just wanted to watch some of the other games ^^”

I love the cute little medium large celestial body slime! The little shunk whenever I katamari damacy-ied that next piece of innocent matter - muah, mastahpeece! I was worried at one point that I wouldn't be able to ingest my assailants, but I was glad we finally came to terms with one another, and now I feel they are a part of me. Great game!

aww so nice of you to forgive and stick by them after all that…

Might just be my favourite game in this game jam. The polish, the art style, the sounds/music, the little cutscenes its all truly perfect. My dream of becoming an all devouring slime has been satiated :) Awesome job! 10/10

Developer

Thanks for playing! Really happy you enjoyed the game ^^!

I love it!  I’ll totally devour it all!!

I loved all the art in this, everything looked so professional, however I have one issue. Who would ever hurt such a nice slime guy?

Developer

gotta grind them xp…

The title screen and cutscenes alone have such a nice style to them, and the rest of the gameplay elevates it so much more. It felt slow at first, but then started getting more interesting as more adventurers were showing up and I was getting big enough to eat larger objects. The final level is a lot of fun just running over everything at a higher speed. I do think that the webgl build could have been a little bit more optimised, as the audio was constantly glitching out (though I suspect that this isn't an issue in the downloadable version).  I also think the regular moving speed could just be a tiny bit faster. Great work overall, loving the style you got here! Also feel free to check out my team's game if you have a chance to!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Yeah, we made the web build last minute and realized it has issues with the audio + audio settings, and we haven't had the chance to debug it. Still left it there so people that can't or don't want to download have a chance to try the game. Downloadable should have no issues.

What an adorable little slime. Could totally see this as a full game, had a blast eating everything

Happy to say I beat it! Love the cutscenes, love our little  slime guy, even if he is the villain! Very cute little katamari-like game. Great job guys!

i love eating things and getting big oouugh. the music kept glitching and going CRAZY but it made the game feel alot more horrific in a good way.

Developer

thanks for playing! Yeah the web build is not very happy with our audio. If you ever want to try a non-horrorified slime game, the downloadables will not have this issue!

I managed to eat a boar! I wonder if you could even eat an adventurer at some point too.. Anyway lovely artstyle, the cutscenes were amazing :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes at a certain size you will be able to eat the adventurers, which will also trigger the next phase of the game

oh damn, I missed that, will replay just to see it!
