How does your game represent "Slick"?
This entry chose to interpret the idea of slickness literally with the game acting as a physics simulator where slickness is used to reduce friction on surfaces and air drag.
The game also tries to strive for the highest compliment of "Slick" by implementing a permadeath system with an ever expanding graveyard, dynamic water surfaces which the lobsters interact with, and a generally silly tone.

+points for art / absurd premise
Got negative feet for all of my runs until I set the slide angle to zero
the ratio of income gain to time taken between runs could be reduced so that you can add more upgrades
I really enjoyed the silly visuals and music! I love incremental launch style games but unfortunately every time I launched my guy bounced backwards so I got a negative score and made zero dollars every time so I wasn't able to progress :c
Thanks for playing, my personal record for consecutive runs without making any progress is 4 in a row. I tried telling the lobsters to stop hitting the fatguy backwards so much early on, but they are stupid and their rage is fueled by ignorance.
It’s a game where progress snowballs pretty fast maybe try changing up the angle you launch at or try timing the lobsters. There can only be 250 of them maybe you can let them accumulate then try jumping them?
"press space to skip trauma", what a mood hah. Love the art style and animations too!
The vo and art style is really fun to look at, but I don't really understand what I'm supposed to be doing, no matter what my fat guy just kinda flops around when I try to fly, so I guess that answered the titles question lol
Thanks for playing.
You get money the further your Fatguy makes it in the lobster pool. You can upgrade each Fatguy’s Weight stat by going to the left of the hub area to get him some greasy grub (or some salad—yuck!) by going to the right you can meet Mr. Slick a slippery salesman who sells you increased Slickness. These upgrades are only for the current Fatguy, once he’s in the lobster pool he’s gone forever and your next Fatguy starts back at the default Weight and Slickness.
Then there’s push force which you can buy from Mr. Slick’s vending machine which is a permanent upgrade that carries between runs since it’s you that is learning how to better push people over. Just make sure you set your push force before leaving Mr. Slicks. You can also adjust the slide angle prior to pushing your Fatguy. Pressing the left and right arrow keys in the air help you manage air drag, but let’s be honest Fatguys aren’t very aerodynamic.
The progression in this game really starts to snowball after you get a couple push force upgrades and can afford to max out weight and slickness. Average time to beat has been about 15 minutes in my experience.
Okay thanks for replying ill try it again knowing this now, as i really do enjoy the art style and humour of it all
this is insanely dope... but as a fat guy this has triggered a trauma response in me... I need dominos
Thank you for playing and I’m glad that you were able to see yourself in the game— studies show representation in gaming is very important for player enjoyment.
