I really dig the art here, it feels like the characters (and indeed the whole booklet) are tensed, shouting, and ready for action. I especially enjoy the rats, dire. Very punchy and enjoyable to read. Fun twist on "Contra" to being "against the world" in the title!
Thanks, I wasn’t sure if anyone would pickup on the title.
The Konami trap is awesome and the art is very cool!
Thanks!
Those side scrolling maps are nice, and I am a huge fan of the art. The quantity of artwork is impressive given the time constraint. Bravo.
Thanks! I really appreciate that. Over half of the art was done on the evening of Groundhog Day, so not saying I didn't get into a timeloop, but...I have no other explanation for getting that much done in one night.
Fantastic work, I would love to play this as an actual side-scroller if it existed!
Thanks! Nice thing about side-scrollers is there are fewer options, so no decision fatigue with them.
The side scrolling map is very nice touch to add, the art is well done, and the story is engaging. I say really good job creating a interesting adventure.
Thanks, it was a fun little project to do.
The konami code as a trap, so cool. Such a great use of the Contra influence!
Thanks! It was such an obvious thing, but yet took me quite awhile to realize, even after I already had written down I was going to have a pressure plate trap.
