How does your game represent "Slick"?
You have to be slick to avoid getting hit. Also it is just slick to watch the replay!

Such a hilarious concept. So slick nice job! :)

Developer

Thank you!

Alright, this was pretty damn slick. Nice original theme.

Developer

Thanks a lot :)

That's was such an original entry! Really good

Developer

Appreciate you saying that♥

Submitted(+1)

Very original! I don't think I've seen an entry like this in a jam before, and it's elevated by the replay. Though I did quickly descend into doing wacky moves and I spent longer than I'd admit trying to figure out what speed to move to get the guy match the beat of the song in full speed.

Developer(+1)

I find your game even more original and I appreciate you saying that! Actually getting character to move to the beat is a rather interesting concept, or maybe make the audio interactive to the actions🤔. Thank you for your insights♥

Love the contrast between sci-fi and the goofy character deformation. Replay is a nice touch. Agree with one of the other comments about rotating the camera using keyboard.

Developer

We actually haven't intended that as a contrast, but that is fascinating that you found that as a feature. Thank you for valuable feedback♥

I channeled my inner Neo. Slick game!

Developer

I am glad you felt that way! Thank you ♥

Really cool game!  I noticed a small bug where the more times you've selected "Play Again" the more times the replay plays after the next round, to the point where it seems to play forever.  But I guess it's a good sign that I kept wanting to Play Again!

Developer

It is rather a good sign! I am sorry about the bug, we had really no time for much testing. I am glad it didn't stop you playing ♥

this game looks so great and is so original, super great idea, i love the replay system. very fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for kind words. The replay system was a challenge, but it paid off!

Submitted(+1)

Love this, very toribash inspired!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I actually didn't know about this game XD Will have a deeper look

Submitted(+1)

It is quite slick to watch the replay. "Show us what you've got.", that guy has dance moves.

Developer

I know, we went full cheesy with that one XD🙈.

Thank you playing!

Bullet time is textbook slick. I love feeling super cool dodging all the bullets and then seeing how silly it looks in real time in the replay at the end. I think you could build a pretty interesting game around this core mechanic.

Developer

I love to see that you got to the heart of our game design! Thanks a lot for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This is a very neat idea, pulling off matrix-like dodges definitely feels satisfying, especially with the replay at the end!

Only thing that bothered me a bit were the controls, having to control both the camera and the limbs with the mouse is a little clunky, i feel like i could've pulled off cooler moves if i were able to move the camera with the keyboard

Developer(+1)

I’m really glad you enjoyed playing! We’ve actually been debating whether to add keyboard camera controls, and your feedback definitely adds weight to that idea.

Submitted(+1)

Man, this gets hectic fast. Dodging the shots starts pretty easy but it gets to be really hard to keep up rotating the camera to a relevant angle and moving out of the way in time very quickly!

The replay at the end is just fantastic; there's so much focus on not getting hit while playing that you don't realize quite how ridiculous you end up looking by the end of it, haha!

I kinda wish there was an option for controlling the camera's rotation with the keyboard. Right-clicking and dragging while playing in-browser would occasionally make me right click outside of the window when things got intense. Super creative though! Nice work! :D

Developer(+1)

You won’t believe it, but just yesterday we were actually debating whether we should add keyboard camera controls in future builds (I am the skeptical one). Your comment might have just settled that argument — maybe we do need to add them after all.

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback and the kind words! Appreciate you taking time to play our game.

Super unique idea it's like a matrix bullet dodge simulator! I really like how it also shows a replay of your actions in real time! Also it was funny making the character dance before the bullets came in lol

Developer

I’m really glad you enjoyed it, especially the parts we put the most effort into refining. That means a lot to hear. Thanks so much for playing!

This was really unique! And very frantic! The lasers felt a tad random, I spent one run not having to move at all while in another I died in the first or second laser due to rng xD very cool overall, slick replay mechanic, definitely added a lot to the game

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! You’re absolutely right — the lasers are pretty much random, I’ll admit. I originally planned to have them aim at or even predict the player’s movement, but that had to be cut due to scope and time constraints. That’s just one of those sacrifices you have to make during development. Instead, I focused on polishing the core gameplay loop, which I think was the right call in the end.

This looks sooooo good! I really enjoyed the replay system, it made it look like my character was trying to dance to the beat

Really original and slick entry, great job!

Developer(+2)

The dancing to the beat was not intended but its a welcome feature! :D Glad you enjoyed it

Submitted(+1)

I really like the replay system. Seeing the character snap to crazy poses to dodge lasers in realtime after programming it in slo mo is very entertaining.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing.

Thank you! We tried our best with the time given :D

What a good idea for a game!I like how quickly you can get into the action and start playing. The choice of implementation is also incredibly smart, very intuitive! However, I did find the difficulty scaling went up too quickly, along with the limb movement sometimes not registering. Other than that, a fun arcade-like experience.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! We tried to balance the game as much as possible within the limited time we had. Sorry if it felt frustrating at any point — that was never the intention. I’ll definitely take your feedback into account as we continue improving the game!!

Submitted(+1)

Oh, it didn't feel frustrating, more just that it was a bit quick to introducing several turrets. That's all!

Submitted(+1)

One of the most original ideas i have seen in the jam! The polish is also off the charts. This is one of those games where all of my criticisms are just wanting more features, but the core idea is fantastic.

Developer

I really appreciate you saying that — it means a lot. I spent a long time bouncing between different ideas before landing on this one. It’s actually inspired by my childhood memories of playing dodgeball at school. I remember feeling so slick dodging the ball, and I thought it’d be cool to try and capture that feeling in a game.
