Really great job. this is a really good game, and it would be a great game for kids who are learning to read. I would say that there should be a try again butting at the end but it was still very fun.
Great job.
I remember playing U are the villain in the 72 hour jam, great progress! I like the loan letter system, it's an interesting mechanic. Just brainstorming but maybe that could be like a letter saving system? Once I had 5 loan letters, I got up to 52 unique words, which I don't know if that's intended or not. My high score was 13 enemies defeated. Very fun!
Fun idea! Feels like GMTK's Word play + Slay the spire. The game lacks some polishing right now, but the idea is neat!
Fun game! like the creative upgrades you get, they can really change things up though im not sure id be able to take advantage of the dinosaur names one.
Had to refresh a couple of times cause of a bug where i clicked off the window then back on and couldnt type anymore (was using chrome)
I think there's a really neat idea here. I would have liked there to be a little more pleasure on the player like a timer to type a word. Also I wasn't paying attention to what the enemies were doing and just focusing on typing. The game should have more of a feedback that I am attacked, like screen shake or particles or tweening the hp bar or sfx etc. But you have a solid prototype. Good job!
This game's really fun!! I got into it way more than I thought I would. It was fun making giant words that deal massive damage. The upgrades also added some nice depth to the game, although I felt many of them were too niche to have any practical purpose (like the dinosaur genus and marine animal upgrade). And since this is a word-making game, some keyboard shortcuts from word processors would've made the experience smoother (select letters and words, copy-paste, etc.). I still had a good time with it though, I think it has some great potential if you decide to expand on it :DD
Nice game! I suggest letting the monster attack every few seconds to add some pressure.
Very cool, I think you could expand the concept and polish it further to create a very engaging game! Pretty fun and simple :D
Hey I remember this one, cool improvements, got alot further this time. I didnt realize the free blocks were in the bottom left. Good work!
On my second try, I got the game running. It's such a unique idea for a game; I hope you continue to work on it. I'm wondering if you could create a simple story to go along with it, or another way to give the player a sense of progression. The idea of earning books is interesting, but I'm not sure if it's enough to make the player feel as if they've achieved something. A+ for originality!
