I love the cover and how you put Start Game in the beginning and hard mode. The map is cool and I like how you incorporated Double Dare as a trial!

Awesome intro screen style manual, very retro video gamey layout! Fun concept for an exploratory puzzle-manse and more riddles at the end, but plenty of combat and deadly dangers throughout. The cover art is most excellent.
I really like the vibes and art here! Especially the sideview map reminds me of Castlevania 1. Personally I would develop the sideview even more and try to do away with the topdown map as that one kinda confused me at first. Some of the markings aren't consistent with eachother like the ladders and my brain keeps trying to merge the two maps and figure out how they work together. It would be easier to use if everything was represented on a single map.
Yeah definetly some modifications on both maps actually. I might keep the 2 but clarify that the top down is to show room connections on the same floor while the other is a more abstract illustration on the vertical layout. The initial idea was to just have floor 1 and floor 2 on the sideview map instead of room numbering, and when characters were moving there you would use the other map.
I love the vibes and the maps - the level design of it was really cool. Text is a little hard to read and parse (the white text and font choice on black), and I'd suggest weaving some of the information at the beginning (i.e. elevator) into the room key or condensing it a little). But very fun concept and loved the artwork and feel of this.
This absolutely smacks of vibes! The cover, intro game select style screen, the puzzles are all so fun. The map is a little confusing but I really like the idea of it being presented like a game level. Great work!
