Not sure why, but the grapple wasn’t working for me—both on the itch page and in the downloaded version. Visually though, I love the retro aesthetics, and it looks like there’s a lot to do in this game. It’s a shame I couldn’t get it to work haha!

How does your game represent "Slick"?
The movement is slick, the UI is slick, the audio is slick, and the guy is a penguin, which is ice adjacent.

Unironically one of the best games of the jam. Full-featured and robust level design, a lot of hidden depth to the mechanics, (I LOVE the dive bouncing) and a level of cohesion that, from the perspective of my amateur self, feels impossible. AND you can play as Winston Churchill. I mean come on.
Super slick soundtrack and I liked the sound-effects too "Let's run it back". Played as the bird obviously :D. Well done!
Big 'Ol Ball is an inspired choice for a character slot. I love the presentation, especially the character portraits. Getting a hang of the slick movement is really satisfying too!
A very interesting cast of character in this one. Naturally I played as Slick Man since he would appear to be the main protagonist, though there were lots of good options. I appreciate the polish that you put into your menus, it's cool that they animate to show the user's current selection.
Lol it felt like a fever dream at times which I think is the vibe you were going for, so nicely done! Reminded me of that LSD PS1 game
I couldn't seem to get grapple to work in the web version? The presentation is excellent though, very unhinged, very Newgrounds era. Nice work!
