in my 8 mins play through there were 1 QTE, and it was press "Q" had no idea why i had to do it so it kinda just felt thrown in the game, JUST to have one.
had -1 saved fossils, so thats prob. not a good thing.
Art was cute though, could be a fun kids game.
But good job for a fulltime dad, prob. not a lot of time to polish things, i suppose.
I liked this game, the art and style were very adorable. Great game.
For being a full time dad and having a day walker job, this is a great game!! I love the music and art style! Only questions is what caused you to teleport back to the tent?
Very nice-looking game!
For some reason, I couldn't pick up some fossils. What happens when the timer reaches 0? It's like nothing happens?
Such a cute game!
I think you got a really good style and art here!
The only downside was that the quick time events didn't feel like a part of the game which was sad to see since the rest of the game was very good.
Otherwise a very nice game! :D
Artstyle, music, dinos. This is everything you could ever ask for in life. I think there's definitely room for improvement, but this is definitely the right direction for the game to move in. Can't wait to see what you add next!
Being a big fan of dinosaurs, seeing them flick their spikes was awesome and I loved seeing the other people running alongside me or maybe slightly in front, second mouse gets the cheese scenario is my way of thinking. Having randomly generated levels is an impressive feature and your artwork is beautiful, I'm especially liking the holes in the rocks so my character's head can be seen :) Whilst running around collecting bones, I had several fun ideas to make the QTE's feel more part of the action. For example, there could be a slider QTE to regain balance if you get too close to a cliff edge, a button-mash moment if you sink in mud, if you get hit by a dino spike there could be a dodge QTE where you have to press up, left, right or down to dodge them and if you fail you go back to camp. I'm sure if time was more plentiful you'd have more ideas than this but what you've got already is pretty cool
This is so cute! I think it can be improved by adding shadows to the projectiles and an in-game tutorial :D
Goodluck for the jam!
Really cool artstyle, it reminded me of Worms with how surreal it was!
I didn't notice anything happen when the clock ticked down to zero or when completing the QTEs.
Sometimes my character reset and I couldn't tell what killed him.
I recommend a checkpoint system to reduce dead time walking to and from the base.
Funny concept, I liked the Dingdongs, good work!
The art style is cute, but QTE are kinda out of place.
Made the mistake of prioritizing visuals over the challenge. Thanks for playing!
I like that art style and its a very interesting concept. My only advice if you decide to continue this game is to improve the QTEs.
Thanks for playing! I had a bird shadow chase the player and then start the QTE, when I tried to dads the animations it all fell apart, so I just put in something playable.
Very nice art style. The QTEs where a bit barebone 😂
I had a little bit of a better system but when I tried to add animations the last day it broke. This was the best solution in low time lol Thanks for playing!
Not sure how to feel about massacring dinos... JUST KIDDING THE INSTRUCTIONS SAID I HAD TO SO I WENT FULL MONSTER HUNTER UP IN HERE. Good game friend! I like the little man with the funny sounding swing when he attacks. Nicely done!
That’s actually my son! The whole family recorded audio for it and one of the features later is choosing the voice lines. XD Thanks for playing.
Hands Down absolutely adore this art style. Really cant give it enough parse! Great Job!:)
I’m so glad you like the art style. It took a lot to make it work and I sacrificed game play for art LOL probably not the best move in a game jam
