Very unique idea for a game jam. I'd like to preface this by saying arg horror is probably my least favourite genre.

I was having fun until I got to the audio level which totally ruined my experience. I managed to find the code and find the end but holy shit I hated it. I think there were too many audio files and too many of them were too similar. I think if content of the audio files was more varied/entertaining I might have enjoyed it more. And again I do not like this genre at all so any immersion based fun was impossible for me to have from the get go so don't take these critisims too seriously.
For what it is you did a great job and should be proud of this expecially given the timeframe. Keep it up I'm proud of you.

I'm sorry for that

Dont be sorry at all. Its just not my style. you have done something really great here. Do not be deswaded.

I love this! I wasn't able to make it to the end before rating deadline, but I will try to make it to the end later. I love piecing together the lore of how all of these games would actually play, it is like a fun mini-game within the ARG.

Good job, a super creative and well thought-out mystery :)

Super interesting concept. Cool seeing assets from a game / games that 'don't exist'

Most unique "game" out of all of the other games in this jam! Cool hot dog car!

thank you

Very unique submission. I liked the implications of these games, trying to piece together through the limited assets provided what the "actual" games may have looked like. The puzzles were simple, and the final puzzle was a little rough combing through a bunch of audio files. I admire the very strange submission.

o and don't forget about the Tags in said "games"

I put some work in there too

I wanted to rate this before the deadline kicks in! I still got to get the secret ending! I played this on stream for almost an hour i think you have a lot of potential to cook and what you presented gave very creepy pasta / ARG vibes i could imagine someone playing through this and going viral! It's a complex and layered story which i will admit takes a lot of time to experience fully (I streamed playing for about an hour and got pretty close to the end). I feel for SlickNick they did him dirty or maybe it was us, I will have to continue diving to find the truth of it all. This isn't like any other Jam submissions i've played ever and I think you should continue to do these sorts of ARGs you have a real knack for them man!

Great work and ill message you when i get round to finishing it, just didn't want to miss the rating window!

If you wanna try your odds as a radio host on Slickback Radio check out our submission if you have time !

it'a good game. Made me audibly go "OHHHHHH" at the rounds puzzle, so I'say this game is pretty slick. I like how SlickNick12 feels, I think he feels pretty cool.

Developer

what do you mean by "feel"?

Submitted

I'm referencing the image "This is not me (This is just how I FeEl like)". I thought it looked cool

Developer(+1)

o that

well thank you

[just so you know that that is not Nick]

Very creative use of resources. I saw this on Bonejacks stream and it was super creative. I think if you ever get to learning programming, with your creativity and imagination, you can probably make some really awesome puzzle games! Still, what is here is really unique. Good work!

This was definitely an interesting idea. I can tell a decent amount of work went into the planning too. I managed to find the webpage, password, and additional files, so I think I completed it?

Developer

did you get to "The End"?

(it's a page with "The End" is were it "Ends")

Developer

ok I looked at the Analytics and you are not even half way there

or are you and you are just stuck

Nice to try out a different format of game! Really cool ARG, I’ve never really tried one before so this was a cool experience! Think I managed to make it to the end :D

Pic of End Also, poor Nick- can't be easy being a lump of burned flesh!

So... who was your favourite character?

Submitted

that would be difficult to answer. I did definitely feel for Nick.

maybe I'll get around to that secret puzzle and look at everything again.

think there's a lot to be experienced here. it felt surreal streaming this.

great work L.M!

Submitted

will almost certainly too long for the streamer to play it on stream, but i have to admire how bold it is to try and put an ARG in this! i liked that the solutions were more or less straightforward, as long as you searched through the files, you'll have everything you need. hard secret puzzle though!

Really cool stuff, very imaginative. I did not expect it to go as deep as it did AT ALL! I appreciate the amount of work done for this, as a huge ARG fan myself. Some parts (not to spoil) did too much time to go through which would have been fine had it not been for the short-span medium of the game jam. Well done on the marketing too, essential to an experience like this and really built up the mythology of it all. Super unique entry, well done!

Submitted

Interesting. I've never tried one of these before, but I managed to complete it and I had a good time. It requires a bit of patience, but it's definitely fun! Good stuff.

Submitted

Wow yeah making a sort of ARG for a jam submission is such a cool idea. Nice job!

Submitted

well then... this was an experience... i do not wish to spoil so i will stop talking lol

This was a surprisingly well-structured mini ARG disguised as a collection of joke “games.” Each stage follows a simple pattern: explore the files, find a link, and uncover a code to progress. What makes it fun is how it constantly looks more complicated than it actually is. There are red herrings, dramatic audio, fake emotional bait, and chaotic filenames but the real solutions are always hidden in plain sight.

The puzzles reward attention more than technical skill. I had my trusty kali image booted up, but no heavy cryptography, no obscure steganography tools required, just careful reading and pattern recognition. The repetition of themes (number ordering, file structure, obvious-but-easy-to-miss clues) gives the whole experience cohesion.

The ending is simple and fitting: no grand twist, just a clean “The End.” It feels intentionally meta.

Overall, it’s a clever, accessible ARG that balances humor, light mystery, and good structural design without becoming frustrating.

Does it belong in a videogame jam? That's a totally different story :)

Definitely an interesting game idea, I haven't seen anyone use the format of itch.io as part of their game. I did lose focus a bit on puzzle #2, as I was expecting to see an executable file in there, perhaps another README in there would help guide the player?  You mentioned while we were streaming in chat together that you can't program, I highly recommend looking into some godot 2d tutorial, like the "Your first 2D game" tutorial in godot's documentation, you'll be surprised how little you need to learn, until you can create a game that would give an interface to support your style of game.

Keep up the good work :)
