How does your game represent "Slick"?
In this game, the player (An Octopus) has lost all of its Slickness and is 100% Sticky. You have to eat Pizza to regain your Slickness. Being "Slick" gives you a whole new Move Set. You literally gain the ability slide around.
The Sticky Move Set is reminiscent of Jump King.
The Slick Move Set is reminiscent of Super Mario 64.
The Character Controller is finely tuned and I think you will find controlling this Octopus feels very "Slick".

I really liked Slicktopus! Y’all made something really enjoyable.
I couldn’t really get used to the “sticky” move set. I’m thinking to come back later and try again to make sense of it.
Funny sound effects, gameplay took a bit time to get used to. The squid is cute.
My only complaint is that it's so short! The gameplay was slick, the graphics were slick, the sounds were slick, the game as a whole was slick! Or maybe they were sticky... how long has it been since I had pizza?
The sound effects are quite funny to listen to, just having everything from the background music to the jumping being mainly mouth sounds. I also think there's a great distinction in how your moves are affect in the sticky set and slick set, and as far as I'm aware either set can be used to complete the levels which is a nice touch. I would've liked it a bit if there were some sound effects playing when you're both charging a jump and when you're jump is fully charged. Also some indication that the slick power up is running out would be another useful feature. Would be very interesting to have future levels that dive even deeper into the mechanics of each set so you see the strengths of each even better. Fun little game you have here, nice work! Also if you'd like to check out my team's game as well, feel free to do so!
"Zwoop!" Haha, I loved coming in and surprised by the acapella sounds and music. i love the designs as well! controls were solid, i had a lot of fun. I think I only echo the "wish I had a meter" to see how much my jump is charged.
The movement was pretty nice even without the slick mode! I also loved the mouth only sound effects it was pretty funny. Overall pretty nice game!
Superb sound effects! In the tutorial I thought the movement was gonna end up being a pain but the parkour ended up being a lot more fun and forgiving than I thought. Like someone else said, I found sticky mode be a lot more fun and useful since you had a lot less control in slick mode.
How adorable! You have cleverly managed to combine two popular movement types in one game. It would have been nice to have some feedback how long the jump was held down, although I got used to the controls quite quickly. Great job on the game!
So we aren't the only ones that think octopuses are slick, genius audio design and fun game!
I like 3d platformers, so I liked this. I'm also nominating the octopus for Cutest Mascot of the jam, I hope the steering committee agrees.
Jump king octopus wants pizza, pizza good, so therefore this game is goated
